Gerald the owner started the process by giving false information to the City of Aiken permit department. Gave wrond building definitions and omitted multiple major structure details from the permit request all together. Automatic roll up door, plumbing details, stairwell, attic decking for storage There was no actual work done at my home as agreed, no materials delivered, he then refused to work under our original contract without $6,000 in additional funds prior to stepping foot on my property tondona single day worth of work. Let's not forget to mention that the demand for additional money was for slab work that was included in the contract. He tried to be slick and I didn't allow it. Later he stated a partial refund was in process. Never gave refund. It is approaching 300 days since he took my money with a smile on his face and then turned in my opinion as what I would best describe as a very spoiled toddler. Tantrums included. I know from my experience that this guy told me what I wanted to hear and flipped his personality after he had my money. This is my personal experience with Gerald and does not reflect how he has treated mutliple other customers that have alleged accounts of his personnal and business behaviors being similar in nature. My situation does not mean that he would treat potential customers the same in the future. What im saying is this.. if it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, its a good idea not to feed that duck any of your . Gerald is human he doenst quack so ducks are irrelevant. It has been a year and I am still cleaning paint off my floors. I was told by Marcus that he always…read moreputs down drop cloths, he didn't use them at all. As a result I have had to deal with cleaning paint off of every floor. I was told that he taped and then caulked edges to make sure of a clean crisp line, again this did not happen. There were multiple places where the space was small between doors, these were not painted at all. In my office where they were old anchors from a curtain rod in the wall he did not remove them but instead painted over them leaving bulging places on my wall. There were multiple places where he did not put enough paint on the wall requiring us to go back and repaint. Also multiple places where wall paint was on the trim which had to be repainted. Then he made a mess of my kitchen cabinets. I paid him a lot of money to paint them. These were painted at the last minute when he was due for another job. Instead of postponing his next job he painted the cabinets and then put them up still wet. We had to go back and do extensive repainting. Had I not been very ill and had noticed how bad the job was I would not have paid him over $11,000 to paint my 2000 sf home. Of course as a professional painter he knew it wasn't a good job and should have done the job right as he was hired to do. Yes I could have called him back and he may have come but frankly after the job he did I did not want him back in my house. Markus over promised and absolutely under delivered.
