This project was significantly more complicated than most, since I was coordinating from Seattle, on behalf of my 80-year-old mother in law. Upon our family visit to her home recently, I inspected her roof to find subtle weather-related damages. I reached out to a list of roofing companies in the Baton Rouge area, with Google reviews of at least 4.5 of 5 stars, who also showed a solid reputation with the Better Business Bureau. Louisiana Roof Crafters (LRC) returned my call same day. Within two days, an inspection of the roof was underway by their Project Manager, Brian Ballard... all before the first call back from LRC's competitors. Ballard and I discussed all the specs of the shingle product to be included in the replacement proposal, the finer points of ice/water shield for roof valleys amid a myriad of other details and the all-important warranties, all of which I was very pleased to see met or exceeded industry standards. Ballard carefully walked me through the insurance claim process for my mother in law's carrier, and he coordinated follow up through me weeks later so he actually walked the roof alongside my mother in law's insurance claims adjuster, to be sure the adjuster was accounting for the same subtle hail damage that prompted the claim. Ballard even provided a list to the adjuster of multiple hailstorms that had swept through the area 6 months prior, something I could not have been aware of, which bolstered the insurance claim. Additionally, Ballard assured us that LRC's cost estimating software is also used by the major insurance companies, reducing the chance of debate over costs of replacement/repair. All of the above resulted in the insurance adjuster writing a check before he left my mother in law's property, to fully pay for all labor and materials for LRC to replace the roof, minus the deductible. In the follow up to that approval went a plethora of communications discussing the various options, potential upgrades in products, inventories and scheduling. Ballard maintained the same high level of communication and follow up through it all. Despite all his other work and projects due to storm damage in the area in the weeks after we started working together, he continued to provide the same level of customer care as he did prior to our commitment to his firm. He sent me copies of every important document before it was to be signed by my mother in law, implemented any edits we agreed upon, and made sure I received all copies of signed documents. We could not be more grateful for the thoroughness, communication and final outcome - and, I believe, most importantly, the consistent integrity - we experienced with Louisiana Roof Crafters and their team of professionals, led by their project manager, Brian Ballard.

Great guy and was persistent was able to identify damage to my roof from a previous hail storm within the past few months. When it comes to a large project spend like a roof, I want to know the reputation of the company and know they are reliable and can guarantee the product and service. Matt and Ryan Theriot are well known public figures and have a vested interest in Parish and in the BR community. With that, my decision was easy to place my trust in Parish who want to earn and maintain excellent standing in the community with exceptional high quality service and a guarantee on their product. I called Parish and they sent Ron Richmond "the old man" to my house. They could not have sent a better person out to sit down with me and go over the process. Ron made everything seamless in dealing with the insurance process and going over the shingle color to the start date of the project. He is a great guy and I will send him as many customers as I can. My roof is very large and with a carport extension i was told that the work would be done in one day at worst possibly two days. As they began removing the old roof the project manager, Landon, did an excellent job contacting and communicating with me the challenges of the project. I've lived in my home for four years and they uncovered more water damage than what was anticipated. I knew their would be additional cost, but didn't anticipate as much damage to the soffit and fascia as there was. They gave me suggestions and I went with replacing any of the damaged wood. Better to have peace of mind and I will sleep better because of it. I was told the job will probably be an additional day. The roofers were done same day and wrapped up by the time the sun was setting. There were a few small things to wrap up on day two and did more clean up to make extra sure they got all of the nails and very small debris. Overall a top tier experience, great crew, and Landon did an exceptional job. His customer service is outstanding and he did a great job taking care of covering all things as well as additional costs with me. I will absolutely recommend Parish to neighbors, family and friends!

On Sunday, after the work, Dan informed me that he will come back during the later part of the week (Thursday) to finish the job, however he wanted partial payment. I wrote him a check for $2,7000 leaving a $200 balance for the unfinished work. Dan informed me later that he won't be able to do it on Thursday, instead he will do it on Sunday March 15. On March 13, Friday, I called him to confirm that he would be coming on Sunday to complete the job. He informed me that he won't be able to do it on Sunday but instead will do it on Wednesday March 18. When I insisted that he has to do it by Sunday because my Real Estate agent has scheduled for Monday (March 16) to take pictures of the house, he agreed to come on Saturday evening/night (March 14). On Saturday March 14, around 4:30 pm, I texted him to confirm that he would be coming as he stated, however, he did not text me back to confirm that he is coming. Instead, he started giving me runaround. I texted and called him several times to make sure that it is his responsibility to finish the job and to install back the Speaker box but he declined to do that.
