Pretty average diner food I was running around doing errands and I needed to get something to eat after a night shift so I ended up here Here's what I got Hot tea. They give very small cups. I'd rather have had a pot which I could have poured but whatever. The honey that they gave with was delicious! Two eggs I asked for these to be over medium. They were over easy. Whatever a little bit more runny than I care for Ham steak not too big of a fan of it. It was a large size, however I just didn't like the consistency I got this with pumpernickel bread and potatoes. All of that was fine. No issues with the service. It's a typical grimy diner kind of experience. It's a notch above waffle House and a few notches below cracker barrel Parking isn't a lot. And it is free. The prices okay considering the quality of the food If I was in the area I might try it again. I like supporting local businesses and it seem busy on a Saturday morning. So I didn't have any service issues that other people were commenting on. That being said, I don't think anything was overwhelmingly amazing about this place. read more

Just Awful food. What a dump. I struggled to even find the place online to get directions. The waitress was pleasant but took my wife's order and forgot me. My son and his friends raved about the big portions but my food was horrible. Irish eggs Benny consisted of poached egg and Hollandaise mix on top of burnt 2 s$&t black corn beef hash on top of a soggy stop n shop English muffin. They suggested onions on the potatoes. Skip the onions unless u like your food black and bunt. The Potatoes tasted old and annoyingly small. The pancake is the size of a dinner plate and the scrambled eggs looked like a large portion. Stick to the basics and pee before you go unless you like vintage bathrooms last remodeled in 1962. read more

A&J used to be a great restaurant for years. Now they consistently burn the home fries. :-(

10/10 Irish Benedict with corned beef hash and home fries. Excellent. Daughter had the Belgian waffle and it was excellent. Custardy in the middle with layers almost like a popover or Yorkshire pudding. Loved it! read more

A busy Saturday morning but we were welcomed and served fast and polite. Amazing food, from French Toast cooked perfectly to steak and eggs super giant plate. Haven't been there is ages and now I remember why. The service and tone of the restaurant appeared to be angry. The waitresses never smiled and just appeared to be unhappy. The portions of the food were large but not very tasty. The ambiance for the venue was old and worn. This is not a place I want to spend my time or money on. read more

First I really love their food, always delicious. Why the 3 stars, the wait time kills me! We sit down, get our drinks like 10-15 minutes. Most of the waitresses are nice expect 1. If you want to wait then you will enjoy the food. read more

Do not understand the lack of reviews and also lack of stars. This is a typical old school american diner experience. We re-visit every other weekend. Very family friendly and prompt service. The portions are huge and we always have leftovers to take home. We usually order one of their combos and either waffle or pancakes. I personally like the hash and pancakes. Not good at all. We had very slow service. we put our food order in when she finally came for the coffee order. Hoping it would help speed things up. But was wrong. I asked for an egg sandwich on white bread with bacon and no cheese. But that was not what I received. It was more like an egg with bacon mashed into it. It was gross and I could not eat it. But could not get anyone to come over to to make a new one. When she finally came by again I ask her to take it off the bill. Which she did but, charged for the toast since I ate it? My boyfriend got an $8.99 omelette but they do not come with home fries. Potatoes are cheep you needing to charge extra is greedy. The toast was cold and the butter did not melt on it. His milk cost as much as a gallon. And coffee dose not come with meals on the weekends. Their cups are also very small. We will not be returning. read more

Always a favorite "go to" place for good wholesome breakfast food! Portions are very large and prices are reasonable. Not known for ambience which is fine! Xenia sat us and took care of us. Very friendly and efficient. The breakfast burrito was hot, filling, and tasty. They have a wide array of menu choices and some very hearty ones. Fantastic place to go. This was my first visit as I waiting for my car to get serviced across the street. Service was great, coffee was awesome and the portions were huge!!!! The price was reasonable. I paid 13.00 for a huge omelette homefries, a side of bacon and coffee. If you ask me that is a great price. New to the area and was looking for a new breakfast place. This place is your typical breakfast place. Food was good and prices are really good. Its nice to see a place that can cook a poached egg properly. I did find it strange that the eggs Benedict comes with cream cheese on it. You have you ask for the Hollandaise sauce instead. Service was good. No complaints here. Will go back. Have to try the 1/2 pound burger for 4.95 (what a deal) read more

Food is great. However, takes about 15- 20 minutes to sit and then another 15 minutes for them to take your order. They take to long to bring the food out. If your really hungry and don't want to wait, don't come here. Also, the customers service needs to improved. read more

OK place ... I loved it but my wife and mother in-law didn't really . nothing bad at all , my omlet was huge and cooked perfectly and homefries were awesome , and coffee was good and flowing . this is a good breakfast spot, it's nothing fancy just your typical greasy spoon but well worth it. I love that it's seat yourself and the staff is very attentive so anywhere you sit, they'll know and be over with cover in a matter of seconds. the omelets are HUGE, like the size of your plate huge. the bagel sandwiches are wicked good too. homefires you can get with or without onions- always a nice option...and menus are right at the table so its a quick process from start to finish. also they keep the place clean, some breakfast joints slack with spotty silverware and sticky booths but A&J is on point with their cleaning! read more

Friendly faces, good service and good food done fast. Generous portions and very reasonable prices. A half order chocolate chip pancake fills an entire plate and is easily big enough to share. It's a seat yourself restaurant so depending on your timing you may have to wait but the service is quick enough that this is rarely a problem. read more

Pulled into the place and got to the door only to see a sign saying from now on we are closed on Wednesdays. This is a down home restaurant. Home cooking, and maybe a little more. Eggs Benedict (breakfast all day!), BLTs, soup.... Maybe we make that stuff at home, maybe not. ;-) Consistently good, great for lunch, pleasant staff, reasonable prices. read more

Can't comment on the food because we never even got to order. Sat for a minimum of 25 minutes without even a drink order being taken. Half way through someone stopped by to tap on the table and say they'd be right over. In the meantime we saw two other groups leave without being served, and saw multiple tables that came in after us have their orders taken almost immediately. I get that the "seat yourself" method can get a little out of order sometimes, but the state of the restaurant mixed with the all but clueless service, makes me not want to bother trying them again. read more

After the great reviews decided to try this am. We had a busy am planned but thought a late breakfast would be great. The place has a very odd smell. Almost moldy. The sign out front said to seat ourselves at a clean table. There were quite a few dirty tables so we had to sit near the back After 10 minutes of being unable to catch anyone's attention we left. This restaurant itself has a great diner like atmosphere. The decor could use a bit updating but they work with what they have. However, the average Joe is not going for atmosphere but for the food. I don't know whether it was because it was just breakfast food or what but it was not very impressive. The food tastes great and was given in a very large portion. My bacon did come out a bit to crispy for my liking. I do have to say the staff was great, they came by and talked with my two little boys. I do think that we had to wait a long while for our food to be served and we were not being told why it what was taking so long. I would definitely go again but because of the wait and the food just being alright on my end I am only giving three stars. People should definitely give this place a shot when in town though, it is worth it. read more
