Then I was recommended to Lakewood Financial. The level of attentiveness and service, I have received is exceptional, with the unobtrusive occasional emails/calls, asking, for feedback, (they do actually listen as well), to questioning if there has been any life changes, (which may require reevaluation of coverage, both up and down). Upon being dropped, along with the rest of Florida, by my Homeowners carrier, which I obtained prior to my Relationship, with Lakewood Financial. I contacted Mark Holley, who feverishly obtained replacement coverage, in a much needed expeditious manner. He didn't just stop at obtaining the coverage required, with time now on our (his) side he then went above and beyond, to secure equal coverage at a far more economical rate. He did this out of his own volition, not at my request. Having asked me if he could do this, knowing that the "temporary emergency" coverage, was somewhat more costly, than the payments to my prior carrier. I have since, as policies for various coverages come due, been migrating all of them over to Lakewood Financial. Even our property manager who handles wind mitigation reports etc and provides all crucial data to insurance companies for our 1100 unit condominium complex agreed that communicating with James was not only difficult but also " unpleasant". His tone was condescending when he returned my call and said," I have just run up some VERY rough estimates of $--- dollars for a policy, is this within your budget... if not let me know now " ( so he doesn't waste his time with me). And I had called his office ( he is the only agent there) TWO times in the last two weeks leaving a message in their auto answering mail box. Zero call back. So I tried a third time last Friday and got him. I DID have success with the Farmer's Insurance agent in Lakewood Ranch Larry Hanson, and had a highly informative gracious EXCELLENT conference with Greg, co-owner of this agency. They unfortunately do not cover property on coastline so they could not work with us. Greg DID educate me wonderfully on the value/importance of getting a 4 point inspection first to avoid a " point of claim" coverage which can blow up in our consumer face when we submit claims later.
