Though it is a small school, the French American International School of Boca Raton allows for a lower student to teacher ratio which is a gift. My eldest child was in the gifted and talented program in her previous school, and this small teacher to student ratio has afforded the teachers to individualize and differentiate the curriculum to meet her individual needs. She is challenged, motivated and HAPPY. My middle child has blossomed at FAIS. She has gained more confidence as she is asking more questions and is engaged in group activities because of the more one on one time she receives at FAIS. She also takes greater pride in her work completion and strives to excel each and every day. She has also formed some wonderful friendships at the school as the children at this school are kind and open-minded.I can honestly state that all of the teachers are passionate about teaching. The teachers are approachable and so accommodating to students and families. My children and I feel cared for. FAIS recently acquired International Baccalaureate (IB) accreditation. The IB coordinator is fantastic and this accreditation is just another bonus. It encourages such a well-rounded education! As my eldest child says "FAIS is a gem of a school" and I could not agree more! My eldest is taking standardized exams for middle school admissions placements (24-25 school year). I have received her multiple scores and her percentiles have actually moved up since last year across all academic areas. This just validates how excellent the academics are at FAIS! My three children, husband and I cannot express how grateful we are to have found this wonderful school!

I went to High School here from 2005 to 2007, 11th and 12th grade. Donna Klein Jewish Academy is…read moresuch a fantastic, close knit experience, I couldn't have asked for better. I actually transferred here from a public school in Pennsylvania, but I was welcomed right away as family. I was actually lucky because within a month of starting school, most of my grade took a two month high school experience in Israel, so I really got to bond with them there. Over the course of my two years at Donna Klein, we went to Israel twice, once on the Alexander Muss High School in Israel Program, the other on the March of the Living. I can say that the school pushing these trips made for some of the most important experiences of my life. My whole grade at the time of graduation was 20 students, which means I was really able to get to know all of them very well. Socially, you'd think that having less students wouldn't be a good thing, but it really does add a level of closeness to the school. You not only bond with you class, but all the other classes and students in the school. They did offer a lot of athletics, but not many clubs to join. Nevertheless, most of the social experiences at Donna Klein are very beneficial and prepare you for whatever experiences you have after school. On the education front, I was very pleased with all aspects of it. Most of the courses were the standard courses (math, science, history, English), but also they had plenty of AP and honors courses as well. Class sizes were very small, which had the great benefit of having lots of attention and care. I think my biggest class was maybe 12 kids, and that was a huge class for there. Donna Klein offered a college advisor to help all of us prepare for college. I can't say she was the best college advisor, but because the school size was so small, she met with each one of us on a regular basis, which was always nice to have the extra attention. They also offered a good series of electives, which was nice to be able to choose at least one class on our own. In terms of religion, we basically had a session in the morning where you could choose between a more religious or secular daven to attend, maybe a total of 5 choices. We also had a Judaic studies class, and a hebrew class. I thought it was a very healthy amount of Judaism for the school, and allowed you to choose whatever denomination suited you best. Most of the faculty and staff were extremely nice, friendly, and helpful. Because the school is so small, you really get to know them as mentors beyond just teachers and staff, so it is always nice to have people who really do care. Obviously, some were better than others, but all of them you shared a lot of time with and got to know. Without naming anyone particularly, some of their upper management are some of the the worst people I have ever encountered in my entire life. There is more politics in administrators offices than in the United States Congress, and that is putting it lightly. People on top only care about themselves and advancing their own agendas, not helping any of the students or faculty in anyway. These people were so detached I don't think they even knew the names of students in the school, and were talking a school of less than 100 kids that they are the head of! Part of being in a close knit community like Donna Klein are the advantages of everyone having special attention, and these administrators have none of it. They don't listen to anything logical and just want to serve what is best and easiest for them while making the most money possible. One side of me wants to give Donna Klein a one-star because yes, the head of school and upper administration were that bad and in that way, I was disgusted to have given them a dime, but I choose to remember the good parts of Donna Klein. My advice to parents and students would be to at all costs avoid the people who run the school at the administrative levels and just stick to the faculty and staff. Unless it benefits the bottom line for the school the head of school won't help you, and may even go out of her way to hurt you. The price of going to school here is also not cheap, and most likely going up in the future. I cannot speak to current facilities, but I can say that the private school atmosphere is one I have to highly recommend, it is worth the money. When I went to school at Donna Klein, our whole school was about 84 students total (9th - 12th), and the physical location was in a trailer. I know that they have now moved into the actual JCC area, which I've seen and is very good. Either way, the key factor at Donna Klein is community. Because it is a small school, you are able to get special attention in terms of education, and have a close group of friends. Transferring into a new school can be tough, but Donna Klein made not only the transition easy, but into a wonderful experience. I cannot recommend Donna Klein Jewish Academy highly enough.

You can thank your employee Kenneth Fry for this one star review…read more You would think that employees at this school should be those who would set an example for the children, but Ken Fry is a bully and a sorry excuse for a human being. Tonight I witnessed Ken Fry berate a food truck worker for accidentally overcharging his credit card... something like accidentally punching in $120.00 instead of $12.00.... an innocent mistake. He had actually even signed off on it without noticing ... but She immediately noticed the error and correcting the issue, and issuing a full refund and going as far as giving him the food for free for the trouble. Ken Fry proceeded to berate the girl accusing her of theft and creating a huge issue, after she brought it to his attention and corrected it .... and he still treated her like absolute crap in front of a huge crowd of people. I was completely appalled and disgusted by his completely inappropriate and senseless infantile behavior. Quite frankly, Ken Fry is a disgusting excuse for a human being. If this is the example of people you employ at this school, i feel sorry for your institution and the children who go to school here. Perhaps you should reconsider the type of people you employ or parents should reconsider sending their children here

My daughter came home with visible bruising, and as a concerned parent, I reached out immediately -- emailing the principal and administration and messaging the teacher, since it was discovered on a Friday and the school was closed over the weekend. I received no response. First thing Monday morning, I went to the school in person. Principal Barbara Leon was unavailable to speak with me. I met with Ms. Michelle, who listened and said she would try to gather information. She later called me back with very few answers and oddly asked that I not speak with any other parents about the incident. We then followed up in writing with Principal Leon, as well as administrators Julia Pease and Holly Oliver, requesting records and any available footage from the day of the incident. Again, we received no response. Instead of answers, we were met with a DCF report filed against our family -- and a visit from both police and a DCF officer. We were never contacted directly by the school with any findings or follow-up about what actually happened to our daughter. Adding to our frustration, Principal Barbara Leon sent a message to other parents stating the incident had been handled -- despite never once addressing or confronting us, the actual parents of the child involved. She took time to reassure others, but gave us no communication, no transparency, and no accountability. Aside from completely neglecting the incident, the way this was handled shows a serious failure in leadership and concern for student well-being. We are left with growing concerns about what the school may be trying to hide. As parents, we deserve the truth -- and above all, our children deserve to be safe.

This is my second review for Bright Horizons located at 10085 Yamato Road, Boca Raton, Florida…read more There are truly not enough wonderful things I can say about Bright Horizons. As a grandparent, nothing means more to me than knowing my granddaughter is in a place where she is safe, loved, and excited to go every day. The director, Monika Zaidan, and Roxanie Rodriguez are absolutely phenomenal at what they do. They truly go above and beyond and seem to have everything running seamlessly and beautifully. Their dedication and attention to every detail is remarkable and so deeply appreciated. My granddaughter's teachers, Ms. Rana and Miss Liz, are simply extraordinary. I have never seen such incredible patience, kindness, and loving guidance with children. They have a special gift for making every child feel valued, comfortable, and excited to learn. My granddaughter has been attending for almost two years, and it has been such a joy to watch her grow, learn, and build sweet friendships there. She is a child who really thrives on structure and staying busy, and this school gives her exactly that in the most positive and engaging way. They somehow make learning feel like fun, which is such a gift at this age. Seeing her come home happy, confident, and full of stories about her day means everything to our family. I'm so grateful she has had the opportunity to be part of such a special place.
