Further, I noticed there were some family or friends with ADA needs which were handled very well, and the overall cleanliness was spotless. Considering the sheer volume and scope of just this one funeral service, I have to say everything was done very professionally and compassionately, and should be considered by anyone requiring these needs.

We called around to different homes and got prices for "direct cremation." H&B gave us a price…read more They were a little higher, but said it was because they use a local crematory. We went to pick up the cremains and found the bill to be $1000 higher, including a $350 upcharge for "cremation." They later asserted that although they honor the price they quoted for government paid services, cremation cost is not included in their "direct cremation" quote. Beware. Although funeral homes are required to give phone quotes, they may not be giving the whole story.
