I called in for an estimate and was cringing, expecting the worst in pricing, but he came in well below the previous estimate and I was able to pay for the work right away--a huge relief, since I've been worrying about our trees all dying and crashing down on the roof and power lines. Within a few days, the crew had 1 (very) dead tree removed, the stump ground down nicely, and 3 more trees trimmed up, plus the whole yard cleared of debris. We called A Cutt Above to take out two large trees that did not survive the 2021 freeze and to trim deadwood from a large mature Oak tree in our back yard. Chris came out the same day to give us an estimate. Day of service: the crew arrived on time and did a fantastic job. They made sure we were on the same page before they began any cutting. We called "brand X" out to remove a stump in my mom's front yard. They came out, mom paid them and when we came to look at their work, the stump was still above the ground. They would not return calls or text. Lesson learned. Called Chris at A Cut Above. He came out that day and gave us a bid....to fix someone else's mess. He was extremely reasonable and came back that afternoon and properly removed the stump and cleaned up the mess to perfection. His crew was extremely professional and Chris was very hands on. Chris and all his guys did an amazing job! I couldn't be happier with the way my tree looked after they finished. I had no idea how bad my tree was until they finished. Every one of his men were very polite and careful with my yard, fence and house. Without a doubt I will be using them in the near future to trim my other trees as well as my shrubs. After I explained her medical condition and limited budget and what others wanted to charge.....man it brings me to tears to know that people like Chris still care about people. Chris and his crew were good listeners and explained in detail how they would tackle the large tree in our backyard and also how they would trim the pecan tree at the side of the house.
