Chapeaux Petitgas is closed on the weekends, but it's easily worth a quick lunchtime shopping excursion during the week. Lots of City Sport and Stetson (the Humphrey Bogart models, not the John Wayne). The crushable models are tightly stacked on bookshelves around the main area; the more refined models are in the glass counter display, and in cases behind it. The owner is exactly who you'd expect to find running the place --- helpful, reserved, and mellow --- but he has an opinion, and he'll share it. Prices mostly ranged from DKK 700 to DKK 2500; I found a nice Harris Tweed flat cap for DKK 750. There's a stack of DKK 425 peaked caps on the counter, but you _will_ get cautioned about the inferior workmanship and materials -- it's one of those "opinions."

The reason this was so special, is because I didn't realize I had the wrong size until I got home. I shipped them back to his store with a letter and had sent an email. Once he received the hats, we went back and forth via email and he sent pictures to show which hats were available in the correct size! And once I made a decision he helped to ship them back to me. I didn't know what to expect when I sent them back, as I wasn't able to reach anyone via phone. But I was completely taken care of with kindness and understanding. I would highly recommend this shop! The hats are of amazing quality, the shop itself is quaint and historic, and the service impeccable.

There are also quirky taxidermied birds that have been decorated with tiny hats and other embellishments, as well as CDs and secondhand clothes. The lady who runs it is very sweet and friendly and is happy to help find a product that suits you. Definitely a place to check out if you're in the area.

Nevertheless, they have really unique items of clothing, and if you're looking for band shirts this is definitely the place to go. They have so many unique items - not just clothing, but jewellery, sunglasses, shoes and the likes of it! You're always met with a smile when you enter, which makes you feel nice and welcome. I mean, you can have a Merona dress from Target cost more than a Ralph Lauren blazer just because its more fabric. That kind of stuff bothers me. There are some awesome things, but like 300DKK for a button up used guys shirt that's falling apart and isn't any specific brand seems ridiculous if its second hand. If you're gonna spend money like that, go get something new or better quality. Also, the changing rooms are right in the center of everything, and the fabric is too small and falling apart, so you're really awkwardly showing off your underwear to whoever walks by. 3 stars because they have an awesomely enormous selection of stuff.
