It has a small parking area that is often full or blocked by deliveries to one of the few shops hiding back there. Best to park nearby and go in on foot. The shop is tiny and full of signs, materials and equipment. You know you are in a old space of a craftsman who does not have time to create a comfortable environment for his customers. If you want quality signs at affordable prices you can put up with the cacophonic space, because Mr. Shaw is a pleasant fellow who has been at sign making for a long time. BSS was recommended to me by my office landlord (and friend) when I moved in on South State Street, Newtown. We were putting up a new free standing sign panel in front of the building and he preferred all the tenants have the same design standards for their shingle. We needed 2 signs each - one for each side of the panel; black and white; professionally produced. I called, and Mr. Shaw remembered the signs he had previous made for this building. $25 for the two signs. Nice! The next week I was in Doylestown, found the shop and picked up the signs. Six years later they still look great out front. No discoloration, no chipping, peeling nor fading. Practically no maintenance other than an occasional hosing and wipe down to deal with dust and spider webs. It just doesn't get any better than that. 10.1.2016 UPDATE - The actual operation takes place on the floor below, where there are several thousand square feet of work space.
