I had a fairly complicated problem with projector/speaker connections and he didnt try to sell me the most expensive solution and worked out what i had been figuring out for days in a couple of minutes. Very impressed with the approach to customer service! Highly recommended chain of shops! Have had good experiences in London shops too. Will be returning frequently!

They have massive stock and an even bigger stock of components that I would have usually ordered from the internet, in this case, a laser diode, and they could give me the advice that I needed without anyone having to water things down too much. The staff are also very friendly, and its a pleasant shop to just stroll around and do some window shopping!

Only downside is they try and get your name and address whenever you buy anything (yes I know they have to by law if you buy a tv but not for anything else). I just refuse to give itor, if I'm feeling mischievious, I make up a fake Polish name and watch them try to write it down. Great fun! I'd come to this shop first for my tv and hi-fi needs, you can save a lot of money. Oh, jusr remembered another small downsidethey never have any carrier bags!!!!

The store is decent, well laid out and has a good selection of electronics including laptops and TVs. It follows the new Currys branding and is fairly modern inside. TIP: The store closes at 8 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, which is one hour earlier than most other shops within Metrocentre during the week, so you might want to visit here first if planning a visit. I did find the selection of certain brands including Apple to be limited, it seems they're trying to show a staple of brands they stock here, perhaps to guide you to the manufacturer's own stores or Curry's larger locations or website. A more compact version of the Currys brand, yet in a convenient location within a large shopping centre in Meadowhall. I do prefer their larger warehouse stores, but this isn't a bad alternative if you're passing through. 3*
