It also has outdoor seating which is nice but warning, it can get very hot especially in the summer.

I thought we would get to Madrid last night, do some walking, have dinner and go to bed. But my husband surprised me with an early Valentine's treat. Valentine's Day will be a full 24-hour travel day from Madrid to the US. Neither of us are really dinner theater people, but he took a flyer on La Castafiore. If you ever go to Madrid, I highly recommend you go there for an evening. The gist of it is that you have a three course dinner (each course has many selections). The servers are aspiring opera singers. They serve a course, then perform. There is also a pianist. Maybe to a trained ear they sound like they're "aspiring," but my husband and I were so impressed. The whole dinner lasts about 2.5-3 hours, but I think even young teens would enjoy it if they like the arts at all. It was a perfect experience. It has just been a wonderful trip to Spain, and I am so thankful that My husband put a ribbon on it last night with this special find. Note - if you go, DO NOT arrive earlier than the start time. They will not be open and you may actually think you're in the wrong place.

I had the best Tortilla Espanola. The chorizo was Superb. The Salad was delicious. I had Salmon en Papillote (Salmon cooked inside parchment paper) with potatoes and my husband had pork with mashed potatoes. But the best part of our dinner was the Surprise. I saw a small stage and a piano, so I thought we were going to see a Flamenco Show. The best Opera Show ever was performed here by our waiters and waitress! If you go to Madrid, Spain you have to go to La Castafiore!

We should've just stuck with Yelp. This place was open and had an outdoor street menu that looked decent, so we went in and decided to give it a try. In the front is the bar and seating is in the back in a room. We were seated and the server didn't really speak English. That was a bit difficult, but hey, it's Spain. He literally brought the huge street menu for us to look at and order from. I guess they haven't printed out normal size menu's? Anyways, 4 of us ordered our food. My brother ordered a sausage and eggs dish. When it came out, we were shocked. The sausage was literally plain HOT DOGS. Lol. I ordered a Paella here. It barely had any mussels and tasted bleh. Overall, we were all disappointed with this place, and realized it even more after we had great tasting tapas in Madrid on the following days.
