We have been very impressed with A New Dog! The owners mike and Jen are awesome and really care about the dogs and their business. The rooms for boarding are all individually decorated with different cool themes. Their prices are also very reasonable for boarding and doggie day care. Our dog loves going to A New Dog and yours will too!

Max and Seger--A New Dog buddies!!

We have taken our Rotweiller/big-dog-mix Seger to A New Dog for 2 1/2 years and it has been one of the best experiences for my whole family--mostly Seger--he loves it!! From the carefully outfitted "suites" to the supervised play area--he has a grand time socializing 5 days per week! I depend on Mike and Jen as I could not go to work without their help! When Seger had a spinal embolism and lost the use of his legs for almost 2 weeks--I was devastated. They gave him flowers, dog treats (which looked so real I gave one to my boss) :) and said to "Bring Seger, we will help you in any way we can." They used a strap to help him in and out to do his business and I will never forget the hope they gave me! All is well, he has a limp, and makes us all laugh everyday! I try to tell anyone with a dog about "A New Dog" to pay it forward. They have been a Godsend to us!

I just read that someone's young dog died here while boarding in their care and was dead for 6 hours before the owners were told.

There are 3 things I worry about when leaving my animals behind on a trip…read more 1. Will they be taken care of? 2. Will they be comfortable? 3. Will they be okay in case of an emergency? Lauren puts all 3 of these to worries to ease. 1. Will they be taken care of?? I have never seen my dogs like another person more. She takes care of them and communicates with me if she has any worries about their behaviors, or conditions. 2. Will they be comfortable?? My line of thought might not be the same as everyone else, but I feel like my dogs are comfortable in their own space and home. The ability to leave my dogs at home and have someone either come let them out and take care of them, or stay over night with them puts me at ease. I've boarded my dogs outside of home before and they appear stressed when I come back. After having Lauren watch my dogs they don't seem to skip a beat and seem calm and happy. 3. Will they be okay in case of an emergency?? My animals are like family to me. It would wreck me with concern to know that they are hurt or in danger with me away. Lauren has been working as a vet tech for over 7 years. If there is an issue, she knows what to do, or knows who to contact to find out what to do. It makes me a lot more comfortable being away. I would recommend Lauren to anyone seeking petsitting in the Stc area.

Update: The facility has now reversed its position and agreed to cover the veterinary bills…read more However, they continue to refuse to provide video footage of the incident and have stated that reimbursement will only be issued if I sign a release/waiver. To be clear, the facility did conduct an internal investigation, and my claim was initially denied. I was told they "could not find anything" showing that Tito was injured while in their care. I immediately pushed back and requested the decision be challenged because I wanted to know what actually happened to my dog. I was informed the matter would be sent to their legal team for review and that the process could take 2-4 months. I agreed to wait -- not because of money, but because I wanted answers. Within 24 hours of them receiving a formal inquiry, I was notified that they would now pay the veterinary bills, provided I sign a release. This sudden reversal raises serious concerns about transparency and accountability. This has never been about money. I care about what happened to my best friend while he was under their supervision. What if I hadn't had the money to rush him to the emergency vet? What if I couldn't afford the injection to stop his vomiting or the antibiotics he needed? Those are real questions that matter. What has been most upsetting is that instead of accountability, the facility attempted to shift blame onto me, suggesting my dog was "too old" for daycare. If that was truly the case, he should never have been accepted into their care in the first place. Pet owners deserve transparency, honesty, and accountability -- especially when an animal is injured while entrusted to a facility's care. I would never want another family to experience this. I brought my 19-year-old senior dog to this daycare because it had become unsafe to keep him at home. He is partially blind and deaf. After his visit yesterday, I discovered a large, blood-filled knot near his ear that no one at the facility ever mentioned. I rushed him to the ER, where they had to shave his head to find the source of bleeding. He was put on a 10-day antibiotic and had to receive an injection to stop severe vomiting. I immediately contacted the daycare to ask what happened and why I wasn't informed. Their response was that "no one noticed anything," even though my dog is calm, keeps to himself, and should be closely monitored due to his age and condition. When I went today to pick up his belongings, I informed them he would not be returning. I asked for a refund and reimbursement for the vet bills. The general manager, Diana Rabadan, told me they aren't responsible because I signed a waiver. This injury happened under their supervision--how is that not their responsibility? How did no one notice an attack severe enough to cause a large, bloody injury? I also requested video footage and was told they would "get back to me." If you truly care about your dogs, please reconsider bringing them here. I'm devastated that this happened to my senior dog, and even more disappointed that the facility refuses to take responsibility. Upon review I found this on their waiver. Not sure why they are saying they won't reimburse me for the vet bills.
