What went well? Everything. They rescued us from an exploded garage door, quickly. They were able to repair what I thought was beyond repair.. and when it came time for a full door replacement, the price was unbeatable. Everything about the experience was positive. Very dishonest. The chain was off of my garage door and I called A Plus for a repair. A kid named Nate came and said I needed a new opener- the sprocket was stripped. It was only 7 years old, and I could see the chain hanging- he never attempted to repair. He said if I wanted to repair it would be 2 weeks (custom parts) and $700 in parts; but I could have a new one installed Tomorrow(!) for $1100. I reluctantly agreed. After the new one was installed, I asked to see the "stripped gear". The techs were embarrassed- It was not stripped! After contacting management, they re-installed my old one with the chain replaced on the sprocket. It works FINE. They assured me my $500+ deposit would be credited immediately. It was not. I contacted Ryan Rohl, who is management. He confirmed my story with the techs last Monday, and said he would refund immediately. 6 days later, I called Chase Bank- NO REFUND PROCESSED. I've opened a dispute, but these guys are not worth the trouble! Nate is a liar, or incompetent, or both...perhaps he works on commission? And for management to tell me the refund was processed and not do it is really unacceptable. There are lots of other choices...avoid A Plus. read more

I can't say enough good things about this business and especially Craig(the commercial repair person) other businesses should take note on how they run things. Craig called like I was told he would. He was on time. He did an amazing job in a very difficult situation. Somehow I managed to get both cables off my 14ft all wood door, broke some brackets and bound everything up. He worked tirelessly to not only fix everything properly but he also made extra efforts to help avoid this from happening again even though the doors weren't installed properly to begin with. The springs on my garage door broke just as I arrived home from running an errand. Right away, I Googled garage door repair services and I got lucky! I called A Plus Garage Doors and spoke with Annette who was incredibly helpful and sympathized with my situation. She was able to get their technician to my home in 30 minutes. When Anthony arrived, I was immediately impressed by his professionalism. He fixed the springs and replaced the rollers in less than an hour so that I could get on with my day. A+ deserves an A+. Finding a quality technician these days is 50:50, but in the case of Craig, we were IMPRESSED!! He called to let us know his ETA, which is important; he assessed our situation, which is 7 years of deferred maintenance and some ground settling; and then he completed the work in a timely manner. In our case, we failed 14 of the 21 point inspection - and yes, these were all visibly apparent, so the assessment was fair, the price very reasonable and the work high quality. And equally important, Craig is very personable, very professional, and by our assessment, genuinely the nicest technician of any the many individuals who have done work on our home. They came out only two days after I called and it was that far out only due to my schedule - not theirs. I called A Plus because my garage door was not working properly. A lady named Annette took my call, she was very friendly and helpful! I had company coming into town that night so I was extremely stressed about my door not working before my company arrived. Knowing my situation was urgent, she actually sent someone out that same day!! Daniel came out to fix my door. He was courteous and professional as well and my door was fixed before my company arrived! Needless to say, I was very happy with A Plus and will be referring all my friends and family. When we called the first time, the phone was answered by Vista. She was extremely helpful, and, in fact, gave us some much needed advise as our garage door was intermittently not closing. We took her advise and our garage door worked off and on for another couple of weeks. We called back, though, as it was acting up a lot. She sent out Parker the next day. He was so kind, and explained everything to us. Absolutely no big sales pitch.....he let us make that decision. We did get a new garage door opener, and it works fantastic!
