Came here around an hour before closing. It was pretty packed for how late it was. I got the No. 1 porkchop baked rice and the porkchop is not chewy at all. It had good flavor and the rice is very creamy with the cheese and tomato sauce is what I assume it was. I only ate half of the meal and had to take it home because it was very filling. For the price which is about $18 for 2 chunks of meat, this is a good deal.

Great quality and even better prices! So hard to find these prices in the Bay and everything tasted great! Portions were huge and we ended up with a lot of leftovers. They also have a sign that tipping isn't required, but we left some anyways for the amazing workers! Food came out really quickly and piping hot! Be sure to drop by and support

Famous for their baked casserole style! This place was highly recommend, it was our first time trying this HK style. We got the #1 Baked Pork Chop, you can choose either over spaghetti or rice. Wow wow wow the sauce is so luscious and creamy! The thick slabs of pork chops were cooked perfectly, not tough at all. Boneless, easy to cut through. They also add cheese on top, making it even creamier. The whole thing is baked in a metal pan and the slightly charred bits gave a nice smoky flavor. Definitely mix up the whole pan, so the sauce covers every noodle or grain of rice. This place is super packed on the weekends. We picked up in store after ordering online and saw every table was full. There was a short wait for our food since they were so busy, but they were still pretty fast. Casual atmosphere. Good value - decent prices and generous portions, I split mines into 2 meals. They are open until midnight, so come here for late night food!

Quality has improved greatly, everything we tried taste better than before. Our new favorite is the snow cabbage and shredded pork rice noodle soup !

My husband and I stopped by A Plus HK Style Cafe for a late lunch, which happened to coincide with the Cafe's happy hour (2:30pm to 12am). The happy hour selection is large, and items come with your choice of a hot milk tea, coffee, or lemon tea. Between the two of us, we ordered the mini baked pork chop with rice and the pork cutlet special HH specials, as well as the XO sauce pan fried crepe roll (regular, since we didn't need/want another drink). Everything arrived really quickly and was hot and fresh! The XO pan fried crepe roll was definitely our favorite dish - super flavorful with excellent wok hay. The pork cutlet sandwich reminded us of a fancy McChicken, in a good way, with the mayo and shredded lettuce combination. And of course, the baked pork chop rice was a classic. The bone was a little difficult to maneuver with the plastic utensils, but we managed. We really enjoyed our quick stop here and would recommend stopping by, especially during their lengthy happy hour to make the most of their deals!

I ordered the Mini Baked Pork Chop with rice and Iced Lemon Tea from the Tea Set Menu. Pretty disappointed about the Pork Chop, they are super thin and chewy, not recommend. Will try other items in the menu next time. Taste of the Iced Lemon Tea is perfect though.

Really enjoyed their Indonesian curry, which tastes different than all the other curries I'm used to (Chinese, Thai, Indian, and Japanese). It tastes different, its creamier, and has a nice kick. Their wet beef noodles was also good and had good "wok hay" (stir fried well with high heat). Interesting that everything is served in to-go containers and plastic utensils, but less work for them! Will definitely be back. Love all the true Cantonese dishes.

    Beef chow fun

I stopped by around 11am and this place was packed. I was fortunate that there was still one small table available so I didn't have to wait. Most of the tables could fit 4 or less people. I saw a group of 8 come in and they just combined a booth with a table. They had a sign in sheet near the door if there were no tables available. Service was a little slow. There was only one guy working the front and manning all the tables. He was nice and I would give this guy an A for effort but there really should have been someone else helping him. Thankfully, I didn't need anything else except a refill of water. The food on the other hand was quick to come out. I got the beef chow fun and it was very good. The beef was well seasoned and tender. I liked that they didn't skimp out on the beef. The rice noodles were nicely separated and had a smooth texture. The bean sprouts were crunchy and the green onions had a slight crisp. I thought they put the right amount of soy sauce for my liking. It was a little oily but in a tasty good kind of way. This was a small restaurant with like 10 tables. They only had one restroom with one toilet that both men and women could use. I don't know if there was another restroom nearby that you could use just in case something went wrong. There was plenty of parking since the location was in the Fremont Times Square.

It is a small resturant inside a quiet mall. It offers authentic Hong Kong food, and drinks. Their price is very reasonable. They offer breakfast and happy hours with good selection and great deal. Some staffs are very friendly.

Food is not bad. But now a combo with cold drink plus tax ,it's almost $19 per combo. Things are getting expensive in Bay Area.

Good cheap food for late nights. Always reminds me of when I'd come here in high school. Baked spaghetti with iced lemon tea is soooo good. Service is quick and it's usually always busy when I'm there. Lots of booths to sit while waiting for your food too.

I really like this place :) We've ordered from them number of times and beef chow fun is always my favorite because they have enough "wok hay" (stove fire flavor?) The restaurant is open pretty late and is conveniently located in a plaza close off the freeway. The workers speak Cantonese but you can order in English just fine too. The order wait time is pretty reasonable but it's always a good idea to call in your order for takeout and tell them your expected arrival time. They also have special happy hour pricing and your food comes with a complimentary drink. Other dishes that I like are the shredded pork with preserved vegetable rice noodle soup, the beef stew and white radish over rice plate, and sizzling seafood fried udon. HK milk tea is also decent too. We've dined in at the restaurant before too but be careful of leaving your belongings in the car since there have been break-ins here before given it's so close to the freeway.

This is my favorite HK Style Cafe in Fremont because of their reasonable prices. We came for Happy Hour (begins at 2:30), and each mini entree comes with a drink for $10.99. We ordered the mini baked pork chop rice and mini baked fillet rice. Both were so delicious and creamy. The iced lemon tea was so refreshing for a hot day.

We arrived around 7 PM without reservations. The restaurant was PACKED with several parties one of which was a wedding. Still, we were able to be seated at a table after about a twenty-minute wait. Below are what we ordered: Macau Style Roast Pork Belly ($22.99) - Good, but on the salty side. Steamed Shrimp Dumpling (6 pcs, $16.99) - Yay for Pearl Bay offering these dim sum dumplings for dinner. These are HUGE har gow because there are two shrimp inside. Double yay!! Sweet Corn & Minced Chicken Soup ($18.99) - Velvety smooth and the perfect balance of savoury and sweet from the corn. Sweet & Sour Chicken - I didn't see this in the menu, but I requested for a plate of crispy chicken with a sweet glaze. Our waitress suggested this and said that she ask the kitchen to fry the chicken to a crisp. Although I would have preferred a little more crisp, I was happy with the flavour. Special Deep Fried Tofu ($13.99) - These looked a lot crisper than they were, but I still enjoyed the little cubes of fried tofu. Crispy Spring Rolls (6 pcs, $14.99) - These fried egg rolls were crispy, indeed. The side of sweet and sour dipping sauce were a good complement. Wok Fried Minced Chicken, Diced Fish & Pine Nuts with Lettuce Cup wraps ($23.99) - I heard our waitress ask if we wanted it with chicken, and I didn't taste any fish in the yummy mix. Very nice. Pan Fried Beef & Vegetable Egg Noodle - This was another special order that I requested. Very good. Dad really liked it, too. Deep Fried Sesame Ball - Yummy, but, again, I was looking for more crisp. Service was stellar again. Now that Ho Chow has permanently shuttered, Pearl Bay Restaurant is looking to become my new favourite Chinese restaurant in Fremont.

We ordered some of our usual dim sum favorites, including shiu mai, har gow, chicken feet, steamed pork ribs in black bean sauce, and the shrimp spring rolls. The flavors were spot on, even without soy sauce, and I didn't feel thirsty after the meal at all, which is already a good sign. I was a bit disappointed with the har gow wrapper because it was a bit too floury. The shrimp spring rolls were fried so much that the shape completely changed, and I couldn't recognize them at first. We went on a Friday afternoon and the place was almost full at 12pm, they seem to be short staffed so it took a few minutes to place our order but the food came out really quickly. We ordered a variety of Dim Sum as well as chicken fried rice. The Dim Sum was hot and tasty, you could tell how fresh it was because the individual items were sticking to the wrapper they came in. The buns were flavorful and the skin was not too thick, in fact it was a good as the filing. The presentation is beautiful as well. The rice is a bit expensive at $18:95 but they serve a very large plate of it. They serve tea as well which is $1/person, it's hot and steaming and pairs just right with the food. They also have a variety of packaged items for sale - oranges, dried meat etc. The place is located in large outdoor mall area with plenty of parking but I can see how parking will get difficult during the weekend, especially since it is next to a Japanese grocery store. We were seated at a large round table and others were seated with us as well. You just have to share the space. Its loud and noisy but not obnoxious. Lots of families and locals. While it is still considered a Hong Kong Style Cafe, I preferred the original menu when they had first opened up, and now they've changed it. They added the baked rice dishes, and Hong Kong Style BBQ Meats and have gotten rid of the more previously offered Cantonese style dishes. Our most recent visit, we ordered the Hainan Chicken Rice Combo, Roast Duck Rice Plate and Beef Stew Wonton Noodle Soup. The rice places come with a drink, so that is a plus there. They weren't anything spectacular, same with the noodle soup we ordered. The customer service here was ok, the staff was nice, no complaints there.
