I achieved my Black Belt in 2017 with Arisen. Before them I have had seven different Taekwondo instructors and out of all of them, none were as good as Mr.Alan & Mr.Anthony. They manage to keep class's fun and fresh even if we have already done the same thing a thousand times. They are really good with the kids and always work to improve everyone individually. Since I'm not really a class or group instructed fitness type of person, I never really thought about this location too heavily. Then my trainer dropped out of heaven especially for me!! We train here on a regular basis and I love all of what the gym has to offer. I get a full and intense work-out each and every time I'm here. Kettle bells, suicides, boxing, you name it, I do it here. Every single staff member is friendly and helpful. Always speaking to you, encouraging/motivating you, joking with you and just providing excellent customer service. The gym offers classes for children, as well as adults. I can't give specifics on the classes offered, because I'm not exactly sure what they are, but I do know I see repeat clients. So whatever classes they have, keeps them coming back, week after week. An actual boxing ring is on one side and artificial turf is on another, with boxing bags and other equipment located throughout. I love it! It's a much different gym than I'm use too. I have a membership at another gym and I haven't been there since I started at Level Up. Note to self: CANCEL THE OTHER MEMBERSHIP! I don't feel intimidated, nor do I feel like all eyes are on me. Granted, there are many more men than women here, but everyone is here for a reason. They're here to either perfect their craft or get an awesome work-out. I think they could do a little more for the kids training. Since my children started they continue to keep them with the kids who are beginning. An issue for me since my kids have to restart the basic training which takes time from their training. They should keep the new incoming kids separated from the experienced. Once they catch up with the basic they can be included. Overall, I'll continue. It has help my girls in many positive ways. We might take a break but plan to continue in the future.

For about 4 months now I've had the honor and pleasure of watching my son soak up training at this dojo. The staff here are FANTASTIC with kids. They took my shy kid in one session and had him on the mat and he hasn't looked back since. Adults train here too but every time I come here I see smiles on kids faces! They learn, are encouraged to practice, and belt tests reinforce discipline at home. I'm proud of my son for sticking with it and the staff here prove every day that they can hook the kids on Martial Arts. I can't say enough good things!

Now I have been volunteering during the summers for two years and the kids are such a joy. There were several times I wanted to give up, but the instructors helped me strive and keep going. I got my black belt and feel safer out and about, but also I can hold in my heart the fact that I achieved something so cool.
