I came in to have the lock on my truck's glove box checked. I locked it but it will not unlock. I mentioned that it was close to closing time and I can come another day but they said to come on in. I really appreciate that. In two minutes they determined that my key was worn and that's why it wasn't working. They asked if I tried my spare key and I mentioned that I only received one when I purchased the truck and am very lucky that I haven't lost it because I've heard that it's a expensive pain in the booty if you lose your only chipped key. At the end of the day, when they are ready to close shop and go home, they fixed my glove box issue and whipped up a new key and fob for us. I searched for a lock smith that could fix my broken Kwikset entry door handle around the areas of Chandler and Gilbert. One particular locksmith told me that they did not have the parts for a Kwikset and that they charge $40 an hour, seemed like they were to lazy and just didn't want to work, I will rate there establishment later. I had just left that establishment and drove a ways and happened to see A Professional Locks I enter the establishment showing them my door handle and immediately they obtained the handle and took it to the desks and started working , in minutes my door handle was fixed. I have dealt with these guys on three occasions and they have been great every time. I went to Lowe's and they: a. Didn't have blanks for all the keys I needed b. The keys they did copy didn't work anyway So I went to my friendly neighborhood locksmith where every key was flawless, even the "manufacturer only" keys that they didn't have a perfect match for. They were still able to shave a close blank down and make my keys. I never go anywhere else now. Why bother. read more

I LOVE the older gentlemen that basically run this place, I remember first coming here with my dad when I was about 7, so a LONG time ago... but I will NEVER be back because of their lazy and RUDE front counter man-boy. He is also rude borderline mean (according to my son) to the nice older gentlemen that work there. The man-boy needs to go. I have sent other people there and they have had an issue with the younger, bearded man-boy who works in the front as well. So, sadly, I find it hard to refer other people over. IF you do go, ask for Steve or the other older gentleman who actually KNOW how to do the work AND treat their customers. They are usually doing the work in the back. read more

Somewhat difficult to review this one because they didn't actually do anything. I was having a problem with a lock. The lock maker actually sent me parts to be used to repair it. But, while I could get the lock out of the door, I couldn't take it apart. These guys said I could bring it to them, so I did. Of course when I bring it to them it works fine. So they send me on my way with no charge. I have put the lock back, and it's still not quite right, but it is better. No idea why. However, I have to give these guys a good rating for customer service. They were going to fix the lock with the parts I brought with me, and when they found no problem they didn't even charge me a diagnostic fee. I like that. If this thing acts up again I will be trying these guys first. The only reason they don't get 5 stars from me is because the first guy didn't seem to know anything about an Emtek lock, and after several minutes of not getting anywhere with it he took it to another guy in the back who seemed to know them. read more

Got off work early Friday 5/10 and dropped into A Professional Locks to look at a safe I was interested in purchasing. Spoke with a staff member who was professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. He gave me the information and pricing that I needed. I was in and out very quickly. I told him I would be back the following Friday to purchase the safe. Walked into the business today Friday 5/17 to order/pay for the safe and set up a delivery date. Staff member remembered me from the week before, was again friendly and helpful. He called to find out if they had the safe I wanted in stock. Turns out they did not, however they had an upgraded "loaded" model in stock in the model I wanted. The owner worked with me without any haggling and gave me the "loaded" model he had in stock for the price of the basic model (I actually came in to get). He told me he would rather have me get a safe now than wait the month it would take to order the one I originally wanted. I am one happy and satisfied customer with a great deal on a safe with extra features I was not expecting to get for the price paid. A+ for A Professional Locks staff and owner for service and taking care of me - a first time customer. HIGHLY recommended! read more

I just wanted to update and share a frustrating situation that was handled professionally and ethically. To many times consumers get taken advantage of. This owner got it right and hit a home run. I am sure these technicians are very good at their job. The technician I dealt with and the gentleman on the phone were very polite. I had an issue with the digital lock on my gun safe. I called them to come out and get in to the safe. They dispatched someone pretty fast. I was actually able to get in the safe immediately after I got off the phone with them. I called them back immediately and notified them I was able to get in the safe. I requested they come out and change the lock and the key pad to avoid any future issues. The gentleman showed up removed 4 screws and stated he had the wrong mechanism. He stated he would find the part and call me to install it. He also charged me $65.00 for the service call under the premise that I would not be charged this again when they returned to install the new mechanism. Three days or so went by and no body called. I called and spoke to a gentleman and he stated they were unable to find the part. I explained my frustrations about being charged for absolutely no work. He said he would call me back in a day or so. He did not. I called him today. Once again he stated they could not get in touch with the manufacturer. He said they would not refund me the $65.00 service call fee. I explained they did not "service" anything. He stated they were not charging me to try and find the mechanism or the leg work as he called it. This in my opinion is very poor business ethic. Their employee who had the make model and serial number for my safe showed up with the wrong part. Absolutely no work was done. Had they have followed thru on any of the original agreement I would happily pay them. They did not. This practice right here would not fly in my line of work. Dishonest to say the least. After posting this I was immediately contacted by the owner. After a very pleasant conversation he offered to refund the money. This is customer service right here. I scheduled an appointment and no one showed up within the timeframe they gave me. I called the office and no one answered. I called again and the guy that answered said he was finishing a job and could be there in 10 minutes. No sorry and no explanation as to why he's late. I asked him to charge me regular rate since he's late and he said no. I am appalled! The company should have called me in advance to tell me they were running late. This place rescued my mother more than once over the years and were very helpful to me when I needed extra keys made and when I had questions about how to operate the "keyless entry" lock on the front door. I had the combination but needed the technique and they gave me enough suggestions that I was able to figure it out. Do you know how hard it is to get keys made for a 24 year old car? Dealers don't want to talk to you about 24 yr old cars. My wonderful grandson lost my wife's set of keys, all the spares (3 sets) I had made at the hardware store, and then the last of them all, my set of keys to "his" ride, a 1995 Mercury Sable. I had the cards with the key codes which helped Armando look up the key blanks and after 15-20 minutes he had the them and I could open and drive the car again. Great job and the cost was reasonable verses a non-drivable car. Armando said he could make a new clicker for the door locks and trunk, but I decided my grandson could do it the old fashion way. Great experience. I was having trouble with spare keys that would work on the security door but not the front door. They rekeyed my tumbler and explained the reason why I was having problems. I was expecting to pay more based on the quote I received (service call charge and pro-rated hourly charge)but I was not charged for the hourly fee. The technician was courteous and did a great job. I have used A-Professional Locks on referral from a friend to get locks rekeyed (12 locks and not one problem). Recently my 90 year old neighbor had a front door she could not get out because a little spring inside the handle broke. I went to all the logical places Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Lowes...waste of time. Then I tried the internet...bigger waste of time. I went to A -Professional and showed them the part (didn't even have the exact manufacturer)...the part that was broken is not available but they had an old unused knob to get the part I needed!
