Robots in rowboats - love this!
    Janice Y.

On my Savannah trip, I stopped by this gallery three times because we often pass by the City Market. Eventually, I pulled the trigger and purchased three Robots and Rowboats tiles (prints) by Lauren Briere. I had never felt so compelled to buy a piece of art in a store. It's just so cute! There's a deal if you buy three. You can feel the emotion of the robot in all different environments. There are a ton more options on her site. I picked up the watering can art, the giraffe and the golf one for my partner. You can also buy it from her website; her art is priced slightly lower on her site. However, we saved a little bit from shipping costs from purchasing in-store. The store reps know a lot about some artists and are passionate about the art pieces.

Love the Big Lebowski! I had to buy it!

Once again I have found more amazing pieces of art to add to my collection. A.T. Hun Art Gallery features so many beautiful pieces of art. The friendly staff are wonderful to work with. If you are not sure how to get your art home, they ship at a very reasonable cost. You need to stop in and check out the amazing collection from some of the most talented artists.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the quirkiness and pop-culture vibe of this art gallery. Lots of fun and creative paintings that are both great gifts and fun collectable pieces for self! Those of you who have home theaters or a deep appreciation of movies & music will find great art here to add style and flare to your movie cave, creating an awesome cinematic atmosphere! The walls within the gallery have sections painted different colors to help indicate the works of different artists... kinda like an art consignment shop. According to their website: "We currently feature over 35 artists, each with their own style and flavor, making us Savannah's most eclectic art gallery." *** One of my favorite artists featured here is David Gildersleeve, whose pop culture art takes the best of a certain era and merges them into a crowd like a Where's Waldo-style trivia test. Great conversation pieces for your home as guests search through the familiar painted images trying to remember names of characters and personalities they may not have thought about in decades. For example, one of his pieces titled "Child of the 80's" groups K.I.T.T, the Knight Rider car, Slimer from Ghostbusters, PACMAN, an Ewok, the old MTV logo, Max Headroom, ET, The Dancing Raisins, Alf and even the Gopher from the movie Caddy Shack as just a few examples of dozens of icons from the era! I gotta say, when I saw that gopher in the painting I laughed out loud from the joyful memory of that movie, nostalgically remembering how Bill Murray chased that dang little dancing critter most of the movie. Gildersleeve also has pieces for the 60's, 70's & 90's and seems to be very fond of musicians with art dedicated to The Beetles, Queen, Sargent Pepper and more! Another artist I found fascinating was Steve Schuman and his gorgeous use of color in both animal, landscape and celebrity portraits. The works of Grant Searcey, Russell Taylor, and Lauren Briere also spoke to me through their awesome styles. Love movies like The Big Lebowski & Pulp Fiction? You'll find several pieces commemorating legendary scenes. *** FINAL THOUGHTS A.T.HUN Art Gallery is located in Savannah's City Market right next door to The Georgia Tasting Room and across from The Tree House Bar. Truly a wonderful and inspirational place to grab some fun art pieces to bring the walls of your home, apartment or studio alive! 2021/103

What a beautiful art gallery store. The works by Steven Schuman are very impressive; so colorful! There are some other local artists as well that have fine paintings. The place has something that catches your eye everywhere you look. The staff is quite friendly here.

I meant to leave some love for this gallery awhile back and didn't get around to it until now. The woman who was working there was absolutely lovely and took her time to chat with me, and we both agreed that we particularly loved the work of one artist whose work was being sold there, Brigitte Pirlot. Brigitte takes old books and repurposes them into works of art that tell a different story. They have a witchy, fairy, fantastical, and cottagecore vibe to them that really spoke to me. She also sells pendants in the same style, so her work is available across price ranges. The artists represented in the gallery vary in style, there's definitely something for everyone and the staff don't mind you coming in just for a look!

Cool, unique and eclectic are words that come to mind in describing A.T. Hun Art Gallery. It's one of the best art galleries for browsing where, according to their words you can pet and feed the friendly artists who won't bite unless maybe you criticize their work. The variety of art and the talent the arts represents is far more that found in most galleries. Though I'm not an artist and have a very limited knowledge of art, I thought that the prices were rather reasonable. And, above all it's casual and friendly.

First of all, we walked in with casual clothes and drinks in our hands and were treated with the same respect and friendliness as a seasoned art collector. That was huge (I look like I'm 12, so usually don't get treated like a potential customer). Also, the lady at the counter was more than happy to fan girl about Pete the Cat with me and was super helpful with telling us all about several artists. I left with a James Dean print that is now a prized possession and a greater appreciation for modern artists. Love this place and can't wait to go back!

Awesome place to purchase local artists' work. They also sell prints of the originals, sculptures and jewelry. This place was awesome, the clerk made the experience over the top awesome. She started up a conversation with me and discussed the artist And was genuinely interested in assisting customers. The art itself is quite pricey, of course because they're original art works. Some of the prints are on the higher site too, some larger matted prints were $60-80. I purchased a matted 5"x7" for $40. This gallery was awesome, it was unlike a lot of other galleries that sell developing artists attempts at famous masterpieces. I loved the colorful original works. I highly recommend visiting if you are in historic Savannah and looking for some exciting art for your home.

Located on the ground floor of the Art Center at City Market, A.T Hun Art Gallery is should be your first stop for a continued great art experience. The gallery is large compared to many of it's competitors within the center and they claim to have "the city's most eclectic art", featuring both local and international, contemporary artists. And I can vouch for the eclectic side, they truly have a huge variety of original paintings, from colorful animal paintings to "cute" clay sculptures, the gallery is a permanent home to at least eight artists with a handful of rotating work as well. Enter the gallery, take in your fill, and leave through the "back door", which leads into the heart of the Art Center at City Market.

Can't wait to bring this gem home with us! Fell in love with the story of Pete the Cat during our visit to Savannah.

Honestly, I visited since I had some time to kill and they participate in the Bank of America Museums of Us program, which provides complimentary admission to cardholders the first full weekend of every month. While I do like art museums, modern art is generally not my cup of tea despite my many attempts to keep an open mind about it over the years. For a college/learning institution-based museum, it's pretty middle of the rung in its offerings. You can easily cover all the galleries within 10 minutes to an hour depending on your level of interest. They have a section of bells, which I found very unique. All of the staff I encountered throughout the museum were friendly, and the ones in the bell section were happy to ring bells upon request so guests can hear the resonance. While I wasn't overly impressed with the modern art on display, I did enjoy my short visit, and would recommend the SCAD Museum as a rainy day activity in Savannah to those who appreciate smaller museums focusing on modern art.
