I did my third internship ride along with an ambulance crew, they were highly impressed with my skills and it is all thanks to this school You get so much support from all the teachers and the administration My 2nd ridealong as a EMT-B with GAIEMS I had 5 codes, I had to perform CPR and all the skills I have been taught all night long and it was second nature thanks to the training I have received. We lost one patient but the other 5 we were able to get to hospital and stabilized. You can't believe how well prepared you are for getting on a truck because of the unique training you get from GA Institute. I drive 2.5 hours each way just to get to go to this school. It is the best in the state. You have the online stuff to constantly review along the way and go back over when it is time to go for you National Registry exam. Failure is not option here because they help you to be a success by given you multiple ways to learn and by being there to ask questions even over email or the phone within hours THIS IS THE BEST EMT SCHOOL in the STATE!! I drive over 2 hours sometimes 3 depending on Atlanta traffic just to go to this school because it is THAT GOOD!! Call Donna and get enrolled!!!

I enrolled in the AEMT program in February 2024. A few months into the program, in August 2024, I was informed that I was "behind" and was presented with two options: transfer into a more expensive "Flex" program for an additional cost of over $2,000, or I would fail the program. From my perspective, I had no choice but to agree to the additional expense to continue my education. After transferring, the primary issue became the scheduling of my required clinical rotations. Despite my requests, the school did not secure the necessary placements for me in a timely manner. By January 2025, with my course end-date approaching, I was informed that to get the additional time I now needed to complete my clinicals--time I needed because of what I contend were the school's scheduling delays--I would have to pay a new, additional fee of $700 per month. I felt this was unreasonable, as the need for an extension appeared to be a direct result of the school's inability to schedule me. When I was unable to resolve this matter with the administration, I filed a breach-of-contract claim in magistrate court to recover my tuition. In response to my lawsuit for a refund, the Georgia Institute of EMS filed a counterclaim against me for defamation, based on an online review I had posted. After the case was recently moved to Superior Court at the school's request, they increased the amount they are seeking in their defamation counterclaim to $25,000. My educational journey here did not meet my expectations. I would advise potential students to carefully consider all aspects of the program and its policies before enrolling.

Just as the name states, their focus is on ensuring that children are reaching their highest level of achievement. This is my child's first school experience (as a Pre-K student), and she truly loves school! During school breaks, she counts down to the days of return and is always excited to share something new shes has learn. This school's platform of excellence begins with the caring staff who ensures that she gets the attention that she needs to feel supported. I appreciate the small class size, and the personalized attention has allowed my child to flourish academically and emotionally. It's clear that her teachers are caring and dedicated to the advancement of all students. There is a clear "yearn to learn" culture wherein students wherein students have a visible enjoyment for school and strive to perform above and beyond what would be deemed their traditional "grade level." Teachers are busy challenging your child's mind every day to ensure growth and success! The school works hard to meet every students individual needs and pace, understanding that each student is unique and tailoring assignments accordingly. Individuality is fostered and nurtured at this school--there are variable academic levels, needs, personalities, etc., among the students, and you can tell they are all happy to be here as soon as you walk in. The owner, Dr. Nadra Powell demonstrates an enthusiastic and genuine passion for teaching kids and having the capability to push them forward at their pace, while ensuring that the environment remains fun as students are challenged. She is always available and always responsive. I truly feel honored to be a part of this school's community. For the prices, you get good service. I can't say great, but I do understand that they're learning so I'm not going to knock them. Next, I started to get pedicures. And then graduated to getting my fill ins. Staff and students have always been nice. Expect to stay there longer than a general session somewhere else, because they are students, but for the price you pay, it's worth the bargain.

It's so crazy that you have to get it on the record as I have. At first you give them grace because they are a school. They'll even ask for grace. But after months of experiencing what can only be described as a wild goose chase of chaos, you hit a point where you have to say, "NO! This is no longer about grace". This is about fundamental structural and organizational failure. What I experienced went far beyond minor mistakes or student learning curves. And after speaking with a rep from the Barber and Beauty industry, it's clear that Georgia Career Instirute has systemic problems, not one-off oversights. The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers require strict compliance with sanitation, infection control, client safety, supervision and operational protocols. This means at the very least, having fully functional sinks where gook is not coming out and making sure all sinks have continuous hot water. You can't wash relaxer out in cold water. But again, this is minor, however, it undermines sanitation, safety, and basic professional standards. Think about it. If a school can't reliably provide hot water, it signals a much larger breakdown in oversight, infrastructure and accountability. Again, this is minor. There are way bigger problems over here, and I'm certain if the State Board did a random visit and/or disguised as a client, this entire school would be shut down. I do NOT recommend this school under any circumstances and believe it should be fully dissolved to protect students, clients, and the integrity of the profession.

I'm so looking forward to starting my new journey. The school is well maintained, clean and I was introduced to the IT tutors during my tour, there's no lack of computers in this department.
