Honey Lemon Pepper Wings and Fried Okra
Teira R.

Couldn't leave ATL without having some wings so I got A Town Wings delivered. I ordered the Honey Lemon Pepper, Extra Crispy and a side of Fried Okra. Now I wish I got extra lemon pepper added, because I didn't taste much of it on the wings. However, I drove back to NOLA with the leftover wings . After marinating that whole drive, them wings was whewww. The flavor got all in by time I stepped back into the 504. The fried okra had me ready to do backflips, but idk how to do that, so I'll just say in this review that they were fiyaaaa!

Our go to! Everything is delicious and well portioned. The ladies are professional yet personable and excellent in customer service management! It's clean and so are the bathrooms! Always in and out and I enjoy a sneaky snack without the kids from time to time. The ambiance is positive and cool enough to sit in peace

This was our first time eating from Pelicana and I'm honestly not a huge wing fan so wasn't expecting much. I figured they'd be a little off no matter what since it was being delivered, but I was proven absolutely wrong. I'm not sure what wizardry was at work here, but every bite felt fresh. The food was still hot, the wings still had a crisp bite, and the sauce was spicy/tangy perfection. Plus, the little side of pickled radish was perfect. It hit every flavor profile we were looking for and can't wait to do it again!

I ordered online and I showed up around the time it said it would be ready but still needed about 10 minutes before it was ready. We ordered a bunch of different things. The original boneless no sauce was great, and we tried the garlic sauce boneless (we couldn't find the soy garlic online which we had heard was all the rave!) but regardless the garlic was AWESOME. Then we also tried the spicy bone in which was good but not very spice. I think next time I would do the bone in with soy garlic and make sure to get it all crispy!! For the side, we got some fries which were just alright nothing crazy and the chicken fried rice. The chicken fried rice was good but don't think it worth getting again. Overall a delicious meal and the staff was super nice. Parking is a tiny lot so definitely be aware of that.

In fact, its one of the few places that I will explicitly travel across town for. The Five Borough Trapper is my go-to /w Mango Habanero sauce for the wings. I've had multiple visits on different days/times and they seem to maintain a consistent level of service and food quality. It deserves at least one visit.

Gas station wings did not have to go this harddd!…read more I visited this food stall located inside of a gas station and the food I had here was really good! My friend and I split the 5 Borough Trapper Combo for $19.99 which comes with chopped cheese, 6 piece wings of your choice, and fries. The chopped cheese was pretty good. It was meaty and cheesy. I also liked the bun which was buttery. For the wings, we got the wet lemon pepper wings and those were so so good. I'm not usually a wings person, but these were delicious. I loved the buttery, peppery, and tangy flavor of the wings which were nicely fried and crispy. The meat was moist and succulent. Just wow. The fries were also good and standard and I liked dipping them in the ranch (you get a choice of ranch or blue cheese for your wings). I also loved the service. The girl helping me with my order was super friendly and engaging. Would highly recommend this spot and next time I'm in Atlanta, you best know I'm coming back for the lemon pepper wings!

To sum this spot up in one word: REAL…read more It's SO Atlanta, it's SO for the culture, and it's SO tasty. The first time I went (and each time after that) there's been a line, but they're efficient and it moves very fast, so don't let that scare you off. Once you enter, the walls are decorated with everything from album art to Freaknik pics, murals, and even mugshots of some of your favorite rappers. I always pass my time in line by looking at them all. There's even a nostalgic old living room setting with plastic on the couch and other Black household nostalgia pieces that just make you feel a way. Now about the food. I have a thing for the crack wings (tangy crack wings to be specific). I don't know who thought of that recipe, but it works and it's a must-try. Really, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Much respect to the staff, and obviously I'll be back again soon.

Where do I even begin? Let's start with the positives. First off, no need to visit The Trap House…read moreMuseum, the decor here gives you that experience for free. I'll give credit where it's due: the nostalgic touches were on point and definitely felt familiar. They've got specials for the "brokies," but where they cut costs, they also cut quality. On the service side, the gentleman taking my order was pleasant and patient, which I appreciated. Now the food; fries were hot, well-seasoned, and exactly how I like them. I'm big on temperature; I'd rather blow on my food than deal with anything lukewarm or cold, so they got that part right. The Lemon Peppa Steppa (lemon pepper with their "white crack" powder that honestly tastes like powdered sugar) was surprisingly good; an interesting clash of flavors that worked. That said, the upcharges are a bit wild. Charging $1.99 extra for the "Bad B*tch" flavor feels steep, and while the honey hot also costs more, it doesn't come close to a local competitor that delivers better flavor without the upcharge. Now for the downside, the wait time didn't match what came out. Hot fries, but cold, tiny, "Magic City"-sized wings? That's a miss. This experience was also a reminder not to believe everything you see on social media; sometimes you just have to try it for yourself. Would I come back? No. But I can say I had the experience.
