Owner Very unprofessional . Non stop talk about religion not needed in my opinion for tutoring. I think he thinks he's the messiah or something . Bolstering about how smart he is and his student love him . He's a Jekle and Hyde . Yelled at my kid then lied about it made my kid upset and said he would not teach a child who cries . A great disappointment due to he was referred to us . He should take some of the money he charges and buy a new chair that's not shredded for the kids to sit on . Make sure he tells you that he videos the kids sessions . I was not informed of that or gave permission. Update : To comment on his feedback full refund because I demanded it . He still wanted yo charge me for the 3 sessions . Don't ever tell a parent you would not teach a student who cries . My son said you were yelling at another student while he was there with the other tutor and the tutor said He couldn't stand that . Maybe this would make other students stand up for themselves or tell their parents what's going on because it is not right . read more

The owner charges a premium hourly rate ($150) for tutoring on the basis that his tutors (and himself) are PhD's. Do yourself a favor and request proof/validation of the degrees. While we were communicating about starting my daughter there, when I asked for the degrees obtained and from what schools for both the Calculus (Dr. Pablo Ortega) and English (Dr. Petrindrick) tutors, he stopped replying. That was December 19, 2011. Upon further research, I am still unable to confirm the credentials of either of these two men. Proceed with caution. We have chosen to take our business elsewhere. I made a crucial mistake by sending my 15 year old daughter to A Plus Tutoring for ACT and math instruction. When I returned to pick up my daughter, I found her with 'Pablo X. Ortega' at Gracie Barra Gym (next door to A Plus), when I walked into the gym Pablo Ortega was laying on top of my daughter..... When I pulled him off of my daughter, he stated that he was teaching her self defense techniques. I also found out later that he had taken pictures of my daughter in compromising positions. When I confronted him to request that he delete all the photos of my daughter, he stated that he did not have them anymore. Upon further research with several government agencies regarding both Mr.Pablo X. Ortega and A Plus Tutoring, I discovered that he had several sexual abuse cases leveled against him by the parents of two teenage girls. I also discovered that Mr. Pablo Ortega and all of his tutors are not credentialed in any discipline in which they claim to possess PHD's ( PHD Math). Absolutely Factually Untrue! The sole reason Pablo Ortega and his tutors claim to possess PHD's, is due to the fact that this justifies him to charge Premium Fees ($150. Per hour) for their services. In essence, A Plus Tutoring ( Pablo Ortega) is committing fraud by misrepresenting themselves in order financially enrich themselves. He misrepresents himself in order to charge Premium tutoring fees to parents who want their children to secure high Act Scores, therefore it increases their children's probibility to gain admission into Ivy League schools. I strongly advise anyone seeking tutoring for their children to stay away from A Plus Tutoring! read more
