Usually classes are held if more people sign up, but Veena was able to offer us an option of having the class at her own place. This was a great experience and at her own kitchen, Veena was able to show how exactly you cook Indian dishes at home. It was fun and extremely easy - we cooked 6 vegetarian dishes in just 1.5 hours almost from scratch and then had a wonderful meal together. Veena showed us every step, we have learned how to measure and combine spices for every dish. We were given recipes for all dishes, also Veena advised great spice stores in the area. We are looking forward to meeting again Veena and can greatly recommend Veena to everybody who want to learn vegetarian cooking and living.

Everything tasted homemade and thoughtfully prepared. The wagyu hamburger steak was also a generous size and juicy and flavorful. I've been to Japan 3x and this was exactly what I look for in a hanbaga steak. So glad this is around now! The portions are generous, and the prices are super reasonable for the quality. He texted and told me to call him, and told me he had an emergency surgery and was out for 2 weeks. Thankfully I did not put in a deposit but I did not anticipate on being left in the dust with zero communication especially since I had to text first...Luis apologized and offered a "zero transportation fee" for a next booking. Now I get things come up, but it was confirmed for that month, and I am unsure how my date was missed. I typically don't write reviews, but this was upsetting. I don't have to worry or think about cooking and that has been a lifesaver. Eating healthy food was my top priority, but there's no way I could have managed it on my own without her. She makes warm, easy-to-digest meals, which is so important when your body and digestion are still recovering after giving birth. She's also really lovely to have around--easy to chat with for a few minutes while my husband and I are busy with the baby. My favorites so far have been her chicken soup and different warm dishes with meatballs, but honestly everything has been so good. And this isn't something she has to do, but my kitchen always looks a little cleaner after she leaves, which feels like such an unexpected bonus.
