I went in for a consultation with the dentist and he scheduled my appointment for the next day. I had asked to have three teeth extracted and he agreed to doing so. The morning of my surgery, DR Kyle Denton insists that the only way he'd pull teeth was if I agree to having more than 3 but 6 teeth extracted. He mentioned as I was being prepared for my surgery that he was going to numb my gums and pull all 6 teeth... Again! I just looked at him in disbelief as if he didn't know what we discussed. I reminded him about the 3 teeth I wanted pulled not all 6 teeth at once! In a child like manner saying " he was going to do it his way or not at all". This was not a very pleasant visit and the doctor wasn't very professional ... I have had several dentists over the years. I wouldn't recommend anyone going to this place at all... So I had the misfortune of breaking the side of my tooth while biting down on a hard piece of pretzel over the 4th of July week. It hurts to say the least! I began looking for someone to remove it for me but because of the holiday a lot of places weren't open or they were already booked. I came across A1 dental services online and booked the earliest reservation for the next tuesday at 8am. Tylenol, motrin, ice packs to follow, and I literally suffered thru the next 5 days i had to wait. I received a conformation of my appointment and some forms to fill out, which I filled out and submitted to help speed up the process when i arrived. Morning of the appointment and I'm so excited to get this tooth removed i can barely wait! I live about 40 minutes from their office and wanted to be there early ahead of the crowd so to speak, so i show up at 7am. I wait in line to speak to the receptionist who says how can i help you? I said im here for my appointment, gave her my info and she said, "we dont extract teeth here for anything other than the purpose to do so for dentures. I calmly explained my situation and noted that on the web site it plainly says the do extractions, and extractions are listed in their own category and there is no notation of them not doing extractions other than for dentures. Plus the are A! dental, not A1 dentures, which would lead a person to believe they are a dental office. Because i wasn't buying dentures as well, the rude lady up front refused me service. Didnt matter that i had crossed all the Ts and dotted all the I's, I wasnt buying dentures, so none of that mattered. I was there an hour early with an appointmnet and the funds in pain and this really rude women simply didnt care because my scheduled extraction wasn't going to lead to them selling me false teeth. That would be fine, and all this could have been avoided if somewhere on their site or during the scheduling they had made mention of this. THE POINT IS, THESE PEOPLE DO NOT CARE ANYTHING FOR THEIR PATIENTS, AND I WISH I HAD READ THEIR REVIEWS FIRST. Bad place I go to get dentures and while in progress Mr neighbors starts cussing and storms off and a lady comes and tells me that they are no longer helping me and to go somewhere else and never tells me why or what's going on I'm hurt and let down this is sec office that has disappointed me and screwed me over I have one more place to go and I pray I get help that I deserve I just want to be happy and feel confident again I would tell ppl not to come here they have let a lot of ppl down it's ridiculous and I had to drive a hour to them just to get bs around I don't understand dentist places or docs anymore instead of helping ur patients u let them down or treat them wrong this economy sucks we need new people in offices that actually love there jobs and patients and will try everything they can to help them not to just kick them out be more professional I would recommend not to go here keep looking and go here only if last resort and neighbors hasn't been only one that ppl having issues with here very disappointed read more

I have a great experience with this clinic. Very clean,very friendly,and very affordable ,same day service with fair price. I visit this clinic for my wisdom tooth extraction and it was painless,fast and gentle. Doctor very professional,kind and have magic touch. It takes him about 10 minutes remove most complicated tooth (16) and put stitches. Very good clinic,I would recommend this place to my family members and friends. And yes,I forgot to mention it was right during pandemic. The doctor and medical staff is my hero. Just want to say thank you!!! read more

My Grandfather had to come twice for adjustments because his partials were not aligning. Also we received horrible customer service from the from the attendant (Chelsea) at the front desk. She constantly dismissed us and wouldn't make eye contact it was honestly degrading. If she is going to work with customers and be the first point of contact for the patients I would think that she would be a little more friendly and carry herself better. read more

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! I paid to have bottom dentures made and they were made wrong the first pair. The Clinic sent them back and they made a second pair. It took them 2 months to make them for me and to get them back. This time they fit and I thought ok no harm no foul. Jump forward 10 months and when I was removing them from my mouth they break. I paid for the premium dentures BTW. I go back to the office and they want me to pay $175.00 to replace a faulty pair of dentures they made. This place is a joke, DO NOT USE THEM. I'm going to hire an attorney on principle, it's not the money but what they are trying to do. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! After visiting the webpage for A1 Dentals, I decided to go there for a complete denture set on March 19. I had to go back about a week later for an alignment - which is not uncommon. On April 8, the bottom plate broke in my mouth while I was eating! This plate is now in two pieces. I called on the morning of April 9 and was told to come in on Monday, April 12 before 9am, which I did. the Dr. saw me, told me they did nothing wrong with the plate and that I would have to PAY to have it replaced or repaired. After some back and forth, he agreed to REPAIR the plate at no charge. On Saturday, April 17, the plate BROKE again while I was eating!! I went to A1 Monday morning, April 19 with the same plate in a baggie, with the same break as before. They told me have a seat and they would let the Dr. know that I was there. After two hours of sitting, I was called to the back. I was seen by a very nice young lady assistant who took my broken plate somewhere, came back to tell me that it would need to be repaired and the cost would be $100. (Mind you, the week before, prior to the Dr. agreeing to repair for free, he had initially quoted me a repair cost of $50). Oh yeah, and the Dr. was working all around me, but never addressed me. After explaining to this nice young lady that I didn't think I should have to pay anything since my dentures were less than 30 days old. I had already given them $695 in cash and had not received a quality product! I told her that I either wanted a refund or a replacement bottom plate. I had already paid for a service that I had not received!! She told me I could talk with the ladies up front about it.... (these are same ladies who had me sitting two hours to see the Dr., knowing why I was there). I was told by the slimmer lady - I forget her name, that there was nothing she could do. Here is my point!! I am out of $$$$ that I paid for a new set of dentures; A1 Dental Services does NOT stand behind their POOR QUALITY work; and I just wonder how many unsuspecting seniors have they finagled money out of?? Remember this before going to A1 Dental Services.... I paid for a complete set of dentures that broke TWICE in less than 30 days, and they would NOT satisfactorily resolve the issue. Not a review of Dr McKinlay's dental work. However, The lady on the phones upfront is very rude and unprofessional! She will hang up on you before you have the opportunity to state what you are calling about. Just so I am clear she hung up MULTIPLE times. Unfortunately, she is the frontline contact for Dr. McKinlay and a direct reflection of his business. The really sad part about is that he probably does not have a clue of her horrific business practices. read more

How would you feel if the receptionist told you to bring your mother at a specific time and when you arrive you are advised the you arrived too late? As a result, I had to return the next day with my elderly parent to complete the dental work. No acknowledgment of an apology! Then I had to bring my mother twice for adjustments secondary to pain. The dental assistant drilled down the denture to a point that it was completely flat! How in the world would the denture remain on my mother's gum? The dentist stated that your mother has a "flat gum". Sure, my mother lacked pain, but the denture floaTed in her mouth while chewing. Was this professional work? I finally took my mother to a dental office and the workmanship was superior. The dentist seemed shocked when I showed him the flat denture from A1 Dental Services. The dentist advised me to request a refund from A1 Dental. When I went to A1 Dental the dentist stated that he would give my mother a refund. When I received the refund from the receptionist, she informed me to not bring my mother back. Why would I return to A1 Dental again and receive poor quality service? Then I noticed that I only received a partial refund because my mother was charged for the impression! Was it my mothe's fault that the dental assistant made an inappropriate adjustment. adjustment? I have an extreme fear of the dentist, but from my first call to ask about services, everyone has been very nice and professional. I am only giving four of five right now because i am not finished yet with my treatment. The ladies at the front desk were friendly snd helpful. My consult was free and the wait time was reasonable. Dr. Mckinley was nice and knowledgeable and talked with us about everything: procedure, costs, etc., and we were surprised at the low estimate. i went back without sn appointment on a friday at 7:30. Dr. Mckinley was off but Dr. Manius was really nice and friendly. The assistant, Alicia, was a dream - every office should have someone like her. Ladies at the front desk very sweet however Dr. Mckinlay not very professional. My experience as a child were very traumatic and I am beyond scare of dentists, high blood pressure and panic attacks for sure. Was in a lot of pain and asked if he saw my ex rays and he said not yet . I asked him not to touch my tooth hard because it hurts a lot. After that he left and never saw him again. I was referred to a specialist because of my sensitivity. It would be nice to hear that from him and maybe have him be honest and nice about it. Still don't know if my exrays showed infection which was my big concern. My point is talk to your patients as human being you don't know what kind of day they are having and what have they been through. I saw a TV ad for A1 Dental, I was skeptical but after getting a ridiculously high quote from another dentist, I had to at least give A1 a call..The staff was pleasant, straight forward about their pricing,and process. I was still concerned about what sacrifices were being made to allow the low prices. I arrived at 8am..filled out some forms,paid less than what I was quoted over the phone. the waiting room was clean and spacious..wait time wasn't too bad,about 30 mins (this is w/out an appt) The dentist was a fill in as the reg dentist was out..I think it was Dr Menius (sp?) ..very nice, very gentle and patient. his experience & love of his work is obvious.. barely felt discomfort..the nurses were happy & reassuring..denture looks & fits good..you can actually have a great smile in one day w/ minimal discomfort..the day following I had no facial swelling..i could talk and eat soft foods w/ no pain..This is the best dental visit I've ever had.. read more

The 2 ladies at the front desk were extremely rude when I called to ask a simple question and one of them hung up on me. The website says "same day service as long as you arrive by 9am"... I just wanted to know if the same thing applied for soft relines and the younger woman was so nasty and rude for no reason. She refused to give me her name and refused to allow me to speak with someone else and when I asked, she hung up in my face. For some people, this is the beginning of their work shift and I told her I understand she may be busy, but that is no excuse to be rude. For people like myself who work 3rd shift, we are just getting off of work and do not appreciate being disrespected, especially after spending thousands of dollars with this Dr. Mckinlay. I will NEVER give them another dime!
