I adopted a small yorkie from Kathy @ Camp Merry Sunshine out of Bonifay Fla. back in 2016. The…read moreyorkie was 8 yrs old. I paid $350 for the adoption fee. Most the dogs there outside had no water or any cover to get out of the heat/sun. The house, where she housed the smaller dogs, smelt extremely bad. The little Yorkie was severely malnourished, dehydrated, peeing constantly which meant she probably had a UTI infection and her spade sight incision was extremely red and becoming infected with sepsis. So the next morning I took her to my vets. I had them take a complete blood panel work-up, x-rays, urinalysis test, ect. to see what all is wrong with this sweet dog. Her test conclude that she is indeed malnourished, badly dehydrated, severe UTI infection and severe sepsis infection. So my vets kept her over night to hydrate her via IV and give her heavy antibiotics intravenously. The vet said he was very worried that she may not pull through the night or weekend. That's how sick this sweet dog was. She was on the brink of death. She had to have emergency surgery to clean the sepsis. All her other organs attached to the suture from the botched spade. I had to force feed her to get her to start eating again. Come to find out, Kathy had 3 cases against her in the courts for such bad practices with her dog rescue. As a Rescue Center you failed this sweet dog and many others, and in the eyes of the law this is Animal Cruelty. I can't even imagine the other countless of dogs in her care that has been sick and sold to others who only wish to love and care for their new pet. I do NOT recommend anyone adopting any of the dogs she has as she does not give adequate medical care and adopts out sick dogs. Deb P.

With a few weeks of…read morethe pick up date we had only seen 2 still shots of the puppy, no information on temperament or where they were being kept, how they were being socialized, etc. We wondered if the puppies were kept outside in thier dirt bottomed greenhouse and so not photo ready. We ended up cancelling our puppy reservation, losing our deposit, and being insulted by the owner when we politely notified them of our intention. We found another breeder with over the top communication and information sharing, and an exemplary socialization program. It was a good decision. Suggest asking a lot of questions.

After…read moreextensive research of various breeders and a phone call with Jana of Goldendoodle Dandies, I decided to put a deposit down on one of Goldendoodle Dandies' F1 standard English Cream Teddybear Goldendoodle boys in August 2022. The way deposits work is that there is an understanding that you will take a puppy from the upcoming litter you have your deposit on. Deciding not to take a puppy from the litter you have your deposit on can cost you your deposit. In my case, life happened and I needed to delay getting a puppy because I was planning to move homes. Jana was kind enough to work with me and let my deposit money roll over to be applied to her next F1 Standard litter - we were first pick on the list for a BOY. My pup, Arlo, is from a Lilliana and Cesar litter. We did have to be very patient because the vet recommended Lilliana take a break for a heat cycle, so we anxiously awaited our Christmas puppy! Just as humans can have complications in delivery, so can any animal. When Lilliana went into labor, it was in the middle of the night. She pushed out sweet Arlo, but the siblings of the litter did not make it despite Jana rushing Lilliana to the Vet. My family and I feel so blessed to be able to have one of Lilliana and Cesar's last puppies and I feel sorry for the families that were looking forward to a puppy that never came. These types of situations are sad for all involved. I can say with certainty that Jana is a hobby breeder that loves her pets and gets joy from seeing the puppies she responsibly breeds in the homes of loving families! I traveled from Virginia to Oklahoma to pick up Arlo from Goldendoodle Dandies at the end of February 2024. He is now 18 weeks and SUCH an amazing dog! He is beautiful and softer than any other doodle I've touched and he barely sheds at all. He is such a social and friendly puppy with people and other dogs. Truly, his temperament is second to none. I've been told by a local friend who has therapy dogs that she thinks Arlo would also make an AMAZING therapy dog - a route I plan to pursue. EVERY DAY nearly everyone who sees Arlo tells me HOW CUTE, pretty, beautiful he is! I am so glad I looked into things carefully when I selected Goldendoodle Dandies as my breeder because Jana was spot on when she said her pups are the "cream of the crop". I was informed a week ago that my request will not be fulfilled and Jana the owner is refusing to refund me my $500. I sent in a $500 check and signed a contract fully anticipating to receive a puppy. She is unable to fulfill her end of the contract and I believe she should refund my deposit. So if you happen to find this breeder, move on. She does not fulfill her end of the contract. This is very unfortunate and definitely disappointing. DISHONEST!!!!
