My family has been AAA members for years. Most recently my Sister's Tyre ran low on air. I advised her to have AAA use the brand new full size tire in the trunk in order to have a fully complient d.o.t. on the car. Instead the very polite an pleasant AA TOW truck driver merely pumped up the tire and informed my sister she had a slow leak and should drive on a faulty Tyre to a local garage. He also informed my sister the tyres had dry rot. My sister looked and felt the tyres and didn't see the dry rot. My feelings are The tow truck driver is setting my sister up for a thousand dollars in tires & and alignment after doing a touch & run repair . As long as I have AAA attention I still have a bad taste in my mouth about the shoddy auto repair insurance they sold me years ago When I needed a repair The Auto repair insurance Company AAA sold me wouldn't help me & left me up the creak without a paddle. When I asked AAA FOR assistance they told me they didn't sell that insurance company's policy and I was out of luck and on my own. AAA didn't service what they sold. Came to AAA to apply for a international driving permit. This is my first time applying for one and it is surprisingly very very easy! The process is very quick. I printed the form online and filled it out in advance. You just need to bring your driver's license and two passport size photos. They also take photos at their office, 2 for $10. When I walked in, the office looks very well organized and extremely clean. Social distancing is practiced, everyone is wearing a mask. There were a few people ahead of me that were being helped. I didn't wait on line for all that long. The gentleman behind the counter took care of my photos first and when that was complete, he ended up processing my application. I was probably in there less than 10 minutes. Verdict - Bueno! $20 for IDP application fee. $10 for photos. $35 for something I need and done under 10 minutes. Impressive! I highly recommend if you need a IDP, go to AAA. They are very courteous and professional. And for the record, I am not a AAA member but due to this positive experience, I may consider it in the near future. read more

I just came from this office and I've got to say that it was a great experience. Every staff member with whom I interacted with was so friendly. The woman who helped me with my registration renewal had such a smile on her and was so pleasant and nice that it compelled me to write this review as soon as I got into my car (that and I'm pretty forgetful and I didn't want to forget to write this later). I have been a member of Triple AAA for nearly four decades. At one point, I decided to cancel the membership as my car insurance featured a tow service. However, I came back as the AAA is a very transparent, reliable and venerable institution that does defend the right of motorists. They are consistent and have your back 24/7. However and in hindsight, the main reason why I decided to return was because of the lovely customer service that my dear Carmen bestows upon my father and I since the club was located on Hillside Avenue. This is the type of human being that always manages to bring the best in you. I did not realize I had an intelligent non-sarcastic sense of humor until I experienced an individual of Carmen's superlative interpersonal mastery. I also recall Ron very fondly as he always had a laid back managerial style that inspired loyalty. read more

Today we had 2 different reasons to come to AAA; international drivers licenses and passport photographs. They make it great for one stop travel related shopping. As it turned out for $10 more than the services we required we could join AAA for a year as they were having some type of promotion today, so we did. Monique was the go to person at the front desk and she was truly wonderful. Not only did she direct us to who we needed to get our photographs taken by, she also helped us with our international drivers licenses and checking out. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly professional and I hope AAA knows they have a true gem of an employee in her. read more

Came here today for my international drivers license for an upcoming trip. I am a AAA member. I put one hour's worth of time in the meter outside, just to be safe. Little did I know I would be out in less than 10 minutes flat including taking a picture for the license (I think I totaled 8 minutes of my meter time lol). There was someone immediately willing to help me, 2 other customers were also being helped by other workers. I was used to visiting the location on Jamaica Avenue. This new location is great, smaller but it seems like the logistics of the customer service desk create a better service environment for any customer coming in. I had zero wait time. Went in to buy the AMC movie tickets but I was informed that they no longer sell them. So instead I bought showcase cinema tickets (Whitestone cinema / Queens ) which can be used at a multiplex nearby. They come in packs of 4 for $37. Not a bad deal when movie tickets are over $14 at most theaters. no restrictions and a great gift for teens. I also asked for maps and a travel guide for Hawaii. very friendly clerk, I was in and out of the store within 10 minutes. read more

I guess I didn't realize the perks you get for being a AAA member - obviously not counting the tow and jump if you're car breaks down. I was going to Spain and Italy and decided to get an international drivers license. This place popped up. it had plenty of parking - walked in explain what I needed and I'm on my way. Everyone was friendly and the picture for the license was included as membership. The guy behind me was getting a passport picture and they also said free as it's part of the perks. Excellent fast service. I went here to get an international drivers license and it was super fast and straightforward. They also sell a lot of random travel gear from luggage to wallets. I would recommend buying last minute stuff that you havent thought of there while you finish your travelling plans. read more

AAA can no longer supply road side assistance This is the third time that I am waiting hours for a tow truck. There is no longer a sufficient amount of gas stations available to give emergency service but I am still paying AAA for this service They should reevaluate this & get more emergency backup or stop taking $ for emergency service read more
