Concur with previous reviews. They do substandard work and have zero quality control or management. Gave them three simple tasks to perform whilst out of town; tire change (dispose of old tires), replace rear shocks, and replace rear lift gate arms. They changes out the tires and put the old ones in my trunk. Replaced the shocks, and did not replace the lift gate arms. At least this time they did not lose my registration like the last time. If I could give these idiots a zero star rating I would... should've done research beforehand, so this is really on me, lesson learned. they changed the front shocks in my 2004 merc E320, then told me they couldn't do the alignement because their machine was broken. (Information that could've been useful before they did the work. but ok). Anyways, driving home on the autobahn after the work was completed and I hear something rubbing underneath the car. They'd forgot to screw the transmission shield back in place and it eventually fell off. Went back to ask them what happened, they say, "Oops, we forgot". ok, no biggie I thought... later on, getting the front alignment done at another shop in the German economy, they tell me the front right shock hadn't even been secured in place and was loose on the wheel. Long story short, do not under any circumstances go to this place to have your car fixed; they will jack it up. If you're worried about the language barrier, there are plenty of German mechanics who speak good English and who will do honest work for you. BLUF: horrendous place; don't bother. read more

I am now at waiting three hours for a simple winter tire replacement. It is on a US holiday that isn't impacted by LN workers having a day off. I had an appointment and was there on time when they opened. With an appointment, it should've taken 15 minutes to remove and replace the tires. There was no one else at the shop when I arrived and there appeared to be no other activity to delay me. Absolutely terrible, don't-give-a-shit service that has made matters worse for my car and friends' cars. You make an appointment, only it isn't really an appointment, just a day you can drop off your vehicle--it's like waiting for the oil delivery or the cable guy. They don't answer phones, even when you know they're there--you watch them ignore the phone. You have to call the other half of the store to get the repair side to respond, or physically confront them. They don't seem to have any standards to abide by. These AAFES employees are the weakest link in all of the Exchange. Their mechanics wouldn't make it at a real shop. AAFES pays these guys and the contracted LN mechanics. The bar is very low--breathing, sometimes showing up for work and the ability to smoke cigarettes seem to be it. Worst.Place.Ever. To take your car. If the Exchange cared, they'd do something about it. read more

This is by far THE worse place to take a vehicle in the Stuttgart area. I dropped by vehicle off at 0700 and was just told it was going to be ANOTHER 1.5 hours for a total of 8hrs for 2 new tires and an alignment. This is the worst auto center I have ever seen. The staff is relatively friendly but they will give you the run around and try to get rid of you if something goes awry. This business would never survive in the U.S. In fact it only exists since it is the only decently priced place for service members to take their vehicles to. They know people have no other choice so quality of work is no concern. Just look at what they did to my brand new wheels for a routine tire balancing. Every single wheel was chipped and damaged both near the lug nut holes and center caps.They then offered me less than the price of the wheels or offered to paint them. If you have a nice car, pay the extra money and go off post. They will not blatantly destroy your property. read more

I have lived overseas for more than 20 Years, and I have had to deal with at least 7 Different Car Care Centers on Bases/Posts. From RAF Lakenheath's to Katterbach's and many in between, Hands down, Panzer's is the best. Is it perfect? No, but considering the herculean task they are asked to perform, they do a great job. From the management folks on down, they are friendly and try to do what is right by the customer and I really feel like they are "on my side". Heading back tomorrow, to get a set of tires cause I know they will take care of me! read more
