The lobby is bright and inviting with a large bar (which is well stocked with local brews) with plenty of comfy places to sit and chat. The resturant staff are very helpful as all the staff have been, although house keeping do come around by 8am so if you need to sleep a bit longer use the signs provided in your room!! My bedroom, whilst overlooking the car park, was spacious with a comfortable bed!! No tea or coffee making facilities though :0( The shower area could use a refresh in my opinion as the main room area has a funky feel to it whilst the shower room just feels old. Free wifi is available throughout the hotel and it has good down and upload speeds. I think because of its location it is more of a business hotel and it certainly has plenty of large meeting spaces and smaller break out rooms and comfortable areas to just sit and relax or chat.

The hotel ground is well kept and excellent for a jog or walk in the morning. The view of the lake is tranquil. If you come in the summer, the lake is swimmable but the water is a bit chill. Restaurant serves good food, and the real treat is a sumptuous breakfast. My stay per night was around 1000DKR, includes breakfast - a bargain in Denmark.

The rooms are tastefully decorated (design furniture) and very clean. Nice bath room. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. Downsides : rooms are equipped with centrally controlled ventilation (no airco) so it got way too hot duing the night. Sauna facility did not function during our stay.

Our contract states that we are NOT suppose to be on the first floor of any hotel. My airline dropped the ball on this one. The walkways were brick/cobblestone making it difficult to pull luggage. Our rooms were very humid and they didn't offer fans. The walkway walls were riddled with spiders. This was my first trip to Europe and unfortunately it wasn't a very good stay. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone for anything. You have been warned! #ashsaidit
