Lucas answered while on an existing job. He was very honest saying he can't drop by to make an assessment. Knowing the importance of the situation, he said he'll have his father drop by to take a look. The father (was it Joe?) came by as promised and saw that the previous roofer didn't put flashing around a portion of the chimney. He gave a couple of possible fixes and I picked the more expensive one. He gave me a break on price if i went with the more expensive fix which i appreciated. Before showing up for the work due to budgeting issues i changed to the lower price solution. He didn't have any problems with this change. He and his other son (not Lucas) came on the day as promised. The funny thing was I didn't know they were there until i heard banging outside! They ripped some of the old roof tiles, installed new flashing and overlay them with some leftover tiles I had laying around. They also caulked around other parts of the chimney. They cleaned up their mess. There were aome storms afterwards and no leak! Thx to Lucas for knowing the importance of the problem and having your father and brother fit me into their schedule. And thx to father and son (was it Joe and Ezekiel?!) for fixing the leak! I would definitely consider them to put in a new roof when the time comes!

It wound up being a big job with new plywood being needed. Crew was hard working, courteous and clean-up was excellent. He left the samples with me for a few days giving time to absorb the various materials and colors. As part of his school, Gary explained what the roofing shingles are made of and informed me about the company that makes them. That being said, upon my approval to go ahead with the work, his roofing staff showed up promptly and they did a great job. I have not had any leaking. I needed new ply wood which cannot be seen until the old roof is removed, but the added expense was reasonable. There was one area that I didn't find flat enough (even though it was placed correctly) and Gary's assistant, Filipe immediately got on the ladder and flattened it out completely. They also came back as promised to replace some caps on the gutters. I found that some of the older roof had fallen onto a historic lamp in the front of my house and Gary and one of his staff returned to fix it. He then followed up once again to be sure it was holding and then again via text. Very reliable.
