Wild horses at Shackleford Banks. Our guide Carter kept us far away to avoid spooking them but close enough to see.

We signed up for a jet ski tour. Our guide Carter was fantastic! He is serious about safety while making sure we had fun. He is extremely knowledgeable and took us to so many beautiful places. He let us watch wild horses while ensuring we didn't spook them. It was a fun adventure worth every penny! The owner is great also and made sure we were prepared for the adventure. The equipment is very well maintained and the entire experience was great. I can recommend them highly and without reservation.

We rented a jet ski for our 26 yr old son & 17 yr old daughter. They had the time of their lives! The staff was on point. Friendly, informative, & professional. We visit Morehead City regularly, and we will be regulars. (Until we buy our own jet ski. Lol ) Thanks for a very memorable experience.

Went jet skiing for the first time ever & I'm mad at myself for not doing this sooner!!! Simply put, it was amazing! The employees answer any questions you may have but overall operating a jet ski is pretty simple. Mike the man in charge greeted us with a huge smile & joked around with myself & the family. We didn't know we had to make reservations (which I highly suggest you do and call as soon as you know what time/day you wanna jet ski because time slots fill up fast!!) with that, Mike was able to squeeze us into a time slot that day which worked out perfectly because the following two days wouldn't have worked for my group of 4. Cost to rent a jet ski is pretty typical for the area, $65 for 1/2 hour or $100 for a full hour (would recommend the hour). Had a blast & 10/10 would definitely recommend this to anyone and when I visit NC again I will definitely be coming back to jet ski!

But guess what? It was 100% real and 110% AMAZING! From the moment we arrived at the dock in beautiful Beaufort, Captain Trent greeted us with the warmest welcome and the chillest vibes. Even though it was just the two of us, he treated us like absolute queens! We stepped onto the tiki-themed pontoon party boat, ready for an unforgettable evening--and that's exactly what we got. As we cruised along the serene waters of the Intracoastal Waterway, the sky lit up in a masterpiece of sunset hues, painting the perfect backdrop for our personal dance party. With our favorite playlist flowing through the boat's sound system and nothing but open water and good vibes around us, we danced like no one was watching--and it felt like pure magic. But it didn't stop there! We spotted multiple dolphin pods playfully frolicking in the waves and even caught breathtaking views of the wild Colonial Spanish Mustangs roaming free on the barrier island dunes. It was the kind of natural beauty that makes you pause, breathe deep, and feel completely alive. And just when we thought the night couldn't get any better, Captain Trent--with his signature easygoing, no-rush attitude--offered to dock in Morehead City so we could grab a bite to eat. YES, PLEASE! We landed at Southern Salt Seafood Co. and Waterfront Restaurant, where we devoured some of the freshest, most delicious local seafood we've ever tasted. From bow to stern, this was hands-down one of the best boating experiences I've ever had. Captain Trent, you are the real MVP of the water! If you ever need a crew, sign us up! Highly, highly recommend Chillin' Charters NC for the most relaxed, scenic, and unforgettable coastal cruise. Thank you, Captain Trent, for being truly AWESOME!

My husband and I paid close to $800 for our group. Because we had several small children with us, I specifically chose tables close to the buffet, knowing that the adults would need to help make plates for the kids. Anyone who has done a buffet with little ones understands that it often takes multiple trips to get everyone settled and fed. I went through the line to get my food and food for my niece, then realized my sister was holding the toddler and also needed a plate, along with my other four-year-old niece. My husband was helping our other children at the time, and my family was still in the buffet line. I stepped beside my elderly parents, who were getting their food, and said, "Sorry, I forgot two more plates." At that point, the man serving yelled, "Ma'am, STOP!" His tone and behavior were completely unnecessary and embarrassing. I was not cutting in front of another party or trying to get extra food unfairly. I was simply helping feed the children in our group -- a group we had paid a significant amount of money for. The way I was treated was rude, humiliating, and completely unacceptable. It felt as though I was being scolded for trying to get food that we had already paid for. For a family dinner cruise, there should be some understanding that adults may need to assist young children at the buffet. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this dinner cruise for families with small children. If your children will need help getting food from the buffet, this is not a family-friendly experience. We left feeling disappointed and disrespected.

Captain and crew--Mike and David--were professional, kind, and attentive. A special mention goes to the captain's mom, who has served as his assistant for the past 26 cruises--she is truly a treasure and adds such a warm, personal touch to the experience. All of the staff had genuinely jovial personalities, making the atmosphere even more enjoyable. One of the most thoughtful details was having crew members walk around and take photos of each couple throughout the evening, allowing everyone to simply be present while still capturing lasting memories. It was the perfect evening to take in the stunning coastal views, watch dolphins play, and see Fort Macon from the water. The boat was exceptionally clean, and safety was never a concern--it was clear we were in very capable hands. Unfortunately, my sister and her children had their flight cancelled and they could only arrange to come a day later. Therefore, they were stuck in NY and not able to attend the cruise. While the rest of us (11 people!) still enjoyed the cruise, it's been disappointing that Lookout Cruises would not refund my sister's $200 for a cruise she had no way of attending. Although I understand this is policy, it is truly selfish and poor customer service. She offered to show proof of her flight cancellation and meanwhile Lookout Cruises still got the business of the other 11 people in our family. Very disappointing and we will not use this company again.

I feel lucky that all the ER found was bruised ribs after this experience…read more We booked a tour that was advertised as appropriate for any experience level. Ours was none, and we made that clear to the guide. After signing all the waivers (including one that said we refused wetsuits that were not offered) we watched a short video that went over the basics of operating a jet ski. Our guide said we'd have to go about 35 mph to see the entire tour. We agreed, and after leaving the no wake zone, he took off. We were struggling to keep up and ditched the jet ski, after which we climbed back on. I thought we had the hang of it when his jet ski had mechanical issues near Hammocks Beach. We floated around for a while as he did some trouble shooting. These things happen, no complaints. We went on with the tour into an area with a lot of boat traffic. After we turned around to head back, the guide took off again at a high speed. My husband tried again to keep up and hit a large wake, causing me to launch off the back of the jet ski. He was doing 75 kph at the time. I was injured and could barely swim to the guide's jet ski for trip back to the dock, during which he did slow down and gently cross wakes at my insistence that we have no more jumps. Between wakes, he was flying at top speed and checking his watch. My husband, who again, had never driven a jet ski had to also go top speed to keep up. I was terrified the entire time that he would crash and we wouldn't know. When we got back to the dock, they helped me off the guide's jet ski, took their life preserver back and that was the end of it. I went to the ER later that night because of the intense pain from the high-velocity impact with the water. If you are new to jet skiing, I would reconsider booking here. I was injured and I'm in pain still, but it could have been much worse. We relied on their judgment and expertise and we shouldn't have. Getting back for the next tour should never take priority over safety.
