Went to ABC Smog earlier and there was no waiting, the owner was friendly and had me out of there in about 15 minutes- and that was because we were having a conversation while he worked. It would have been faster if I had left him alone . I used their coupon and my total was $59.50, including the certificate! I have an SUV so the price was higher regardless of where I called ($60 +$8.25 certificate elsewhere). I will definitely come back here and recommend this place. read more

Me and my 3 year old son came here today cuz I needed a smog check. Honestly had the best experience. They gave my son a popsicle, and a little toy car to play with while we waited, and so sweet and friendly. Such quick service and they have a coupon that saves you $20. My brother in law took a 2008 sienna with the check engine light on he advised the technician not to fail the van to charge me and tell me what needs to be fixed. He said needed a catalytic connector $580 . He still ran it and failed it . So I scanned it myself and replaced the gas cap do to evap leak cleared the codes and drove it 78 miles till all monitors showed ready took it back to retest and passed he charged $63.70 and when I took it back he charged another $20 for a total of $83.70 this place is a joke would not recommend to anyone. read more

Don't trust this place. Mother in Law went here for Smog Check and a hose was intentionally punctured. Took to a different mechanic and he showed us that there was no show of regular wear and tear. read more

This location is a little tricky to find, the business is accessed from the rear of the building, bu it is well worth the search. The staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and followed Covid masking recommendations as well. It was one of the easiest smog checks I have ever had done. There is also a discount coupon available. I will be using this establishment for all my smog certifications. read more

Weeks after having my car smogged and re-registered, the California DMV decided that they didn't have enough of my money so they sent me another hoop to jump through. This time I needed to get my car smogged at a Star Smog Check place. I found this place online, drove over there and had the work done. It was fast, they did a good job (I passed) and the guy was quite friendly. We chatted the entire time while he was running the test. I'll keep this place in mind for a return visit when I need to get my car smogged.....or when the DMV wants to decide that it's not screwing with me often enough. Took my car my mustang here and watched as he over revved the gas trying to get it on his rollers. It was cringe worthy. His attitude was smug and condescending. I had to take it back a second time due to it not passing. The only reason I took it back to him was the $20 retest. Otherwise I wouldn't have. When it passes he said "Good, I won't have to see you again!" I agree! Stay away! read more

Took forever, but that's the least of it. Doesn't know how to properly slip a clutch to move around, revved the nuts and bolts off my car. Tried to reverse with the ebrake several times. If you care about your older car don't come here, you'll probably leave with a leak and a year off your clutch. If you just drive some beater, sure, this is just right, but go to Gunn, they're cheaper. Opened my door into his table. If you have any mechanical training or experience, just watching this will hurt. read more

Never go here they tell you a lot if things are wrong with your car and say it didnt pass the smog but you go elsewhere and it passed without fixing the issues and they charge if you don't pass read more

Be aware this place opens at 8:45 because the guy who runs it can't seem to get there on time. Do yourself a favor if you are trying to smog a vehicle 2000 and older because he isn't very knowledgeable. He failed me because I didn't pass the visual test on my catalytic converter. Turns out he just didn't know the rules on what is acceptable. Took it to two other locations and they both knew what they were looking at and told me I would pass the visual. $90 that I will never get back along with 2 hours of time that I would have been on the clock working. I always get my smog checks done here. The guys there are so great and helpful, and the service is always speedy.

Greeted right away with a friendly smile. Without hesitation my car was able to be given a smog. I let them know I had a coupon as well and they were nice about it too because some places have an attitude, but not them. About 10 minuets later my smog was completed. I was given an additional discount too. He also let me know now that my smog was complete I was able to go to the kiosk at the DMV and get my tags without waiting. Thank you again!! read more

THIEVERY! I called stating, "I need a smog check today. Can you take me now & how much will it cost?" The prompt response was, "Yes, it will be $19.95." Great! I jumped in my car & was there in 10min. "I'm here for a smog check." The response from the guy behind the counter was (whipping out some paperwork): "OK, that will be $69.95." What in blazes?! This was the worst smog station I've ever been to. The guy acted like I was inconveniencing him and was taking his sweet old time. He didn't check my timing and my truck failed. I replaced some parts and came back the same day and he said he couldn't do it the same day with a very rude attitude. I asked for a pretest to see where I'm at and spent another $30 and failed again. I took it to someone who knew what they were doing, and come to find out my timing was off 5 degress advance. I would have known that if he would have checked and recorded the timing on my first two test reports. I had a free retest with this guy and I paid someone else to perform the smog due to his attitude and I passed with flying colors. It was a timing issue that he should have recorded the first two times. I wll never go to ABC Smog again due to the very poor customer service. read more
