Called and made an appointment to have my taxes done and they made the process super easy. The tax preparer and staff at ABC were super friendly and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Could not be more pleased with the service I received at ABC Tax Services. Yes, I too waited 3 hours, but those ladies work themselves to death trying to fit everyone in and satisfy everyone. I was referred by my father-in-law and was told it was the best place to go. He was spot on. Marilyn was so sweet. She was so thorough, and completed our taxes in a timely manner. She was beyond a pleasure to work with. It's very unfortunate that some of these other reviewers can't have any grace in understanding how tiring and stressful it must be to only have 2 CPAs during tax season. They both work 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, and rarely get home before 10pm. Yes, I learned all of this in the short time I sat with Marilyn. I also learned a little about her family, because she's one of the most personable people I've met in a while. She makes sure everyone feels welcome in her office, even if they have to wait 2-3 hours. I'll be back for sure! read more

We have ended our 10 year relationship with ABC Tax Services as of today! Walked in this am to have our taxes done. They do not take appointments, so you have to put your name on a waiting list. Even though we arrive minutes after they opened, we were already 6 names down the list. When we first started going here, wait times were reasonable, but over the last several years we have to wait longer and longer each time we came here, but today was the final straw. Plus with the loooong wait times, they will not under any circumstances let you use the bathroom there, so keep that in mind if you have a medical condition as I do or you take medication that requires frequent bathroom visits because not only can you not the bathroom here, but none of the surrounding businesses will let you you use their bathrooms either. Really?? Your paying over $100 or more to get your taxes done and have to wait a looong time to do so and they won't even let you use the damn bathroom?!?!? We sat and waited and waited and waited. Part of the long wait time was because only 2 people were working at at tax office during the of peak tax season. WTF?? We could not understand why we were waiting so long and no one was being called back until my wife overheard a conversation between the owner and the only employee. The were busy doing business payrolls and only doing taxes in between the payroll jobs. And in between that time they were just chit chatting and not doing their jobs. Many people left angry at the long wait time and not being informed why. When our wait time surpassed 2 hours and it been more than an hour since the last person had been called back, we scratched our name off the list and left never to return again. A simple hand written sign, or some one informing every one of this would have prevented this situation because if we had been informed of the situation, we would have left as soon as we walked in and not wasted more than 2 hours of our time, but no, they just let every one sit out in the waiting room grumbling and wondering why the wait was so long and why no one was being called back to have their taxes done. This is no way to run a business and we saw at least 6 people walk out angry as we did so they lost 7 customers in 2 hour period, one permanently, us!! Our time is valuable and even though the tax prep fees here are some of the least expensive, We will no longer have our time wasted here. We will pay more for better customer service elsewhere. So good bye ABC Tax Services, you screwed up a 10 year relationship by showing a long time customer you don't give a cooters damn about them! read more

ABC Tax Services has taken care of my parent's business and personal taxes for many years. For the past 12 years I have lived in Durham, NC and for the 9 of those years I paid an accountant between $500 and $600 to do my joint tax return. A few years ago I decided to bring my taxes to ABC and I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner. Having ABC Tax Services and Marilyn do our taxes, was so easy...and believe it or not...a very enjoyable experience for us! We saved time and money by having them do our taxes instead using Turbo Tax, which we'd been using for many years. Marilyn is such a pleasure to work with, a great personality, and so knowledgeable about complicated tax laws & rules. We had a night appointment which worked out well for us. It amazed me that after 10+ hours of her preparing tax statements, she was still going strong when she met with us! She took all of the pain and frustration out of tax preparation. We just sat back, answered her questions, and she did all of the work. Not only did we save money but she offerred suggestions to help us in the future on things we didn't know. After this experience, I can't ever imagine doing my own taxes again. I will definately be using ABC from now on. read more
