What's changed is the neighborhood... The central business district used to be well located for site seeing but pretty dead atmosphere wise. Just corporate buildings and workers. Quiet at night and silent on the weekends. Now, it's an amazing hub of activity with residents, coffee shops, restaurant, bars, shops and more plus the corporate buildings. The main drag, George Street, is now pedestrian only and relaxing to walk along. We look forward to returning again somehow, some way, in the future! We already agreed Mantra 2 on Bond Street will be our destination again! Dear lord, I don't know if this is just…read morea sign of aging but I'd like to be able to sleep before 11pm without hearing drunken antics and subwoofers booming and echoing through the streets for the entire night. The suite itself isn't so bad but it's not as luxurious as they describe themselves to be. The lobby has a nice modern touch, complete with a pool, jaccuzi, and a gym (6am-10pm), but don't expect much else. There's no room service since it's a suite, so I'm not dinging them on that. There's a washer and dryer, dishwasher, utensils/dishes, fridge, toaster, and an electric kettle. The floors were not clean and despite it being a smoke free hotel, I can see a cigarette burn on the carpeted area clear as day. I would not walk bare feet in any hotel anyway, but this one in particular, I'd bleach my feet if I inadvertently touched it. I just get a sense that it's not cleaned well so the icky feeling was hard to rub off. I legit boiled water and tried to sanitize as much surface area as I could. It's a short walk to the office, but other than that, there really weren't any perks for me. I'll be here another week so I'm not thrilled about my Sydney leg of the trip. Can't wait to go back home.

Make sure sunblock hat or umbrella . The room and hotel was clean. Love the white linen sheets. Our view is the Darhling harbor. Very nice. The TV here has only regular channel. No cable. The room was enough for 3 of us. Small kitchenette with kitchen wares. We didn't cook bcuz the food here is very reasonable. It was a very friendly place to stay . Mini bar items were complimentary; Good location in Barangaroo, a neighborhood on the edge of CBD. Plenty of bars & restaurants within walking distance; Negatives: Small 250 sf room. An upgrade to a 500 sf suite would have cost $180 AUD more per night; No lanai (patio) to take in the fresh air; No wand in the shower; No Executive lounge; No pool; No view for being so close to Darling Harbour; No local restaurant recs via the app like other Hiltons I have stayed at; Tiny gym; The No's (negatives), far outweigh the positives: I would not stay here again. Unfortunately, the Marriott, Hyatt & IHG properties in the area were unavailable via points during our stay, and the Four Seasons had bad recent reviews.

After a very quiet and comfortable night's sleep in a great bed, I used the discount voucher provided by reception to grab a light breakfast and coffee at a local cafe and enjoyed it on my balcony overlooking the park below. Reception also provided a voucher for free wifi. Would definitely go back if I needed to be in the neighbourhood. My tip would be walk up to the corner to pick up and drop off taxis as there is rarely any street parking and a double-parked taxi blocks the narrow street, annoying fellow motorists.

But each room has a little kitchenette if you're saving dollars by buying your own food.
