I have been here plenty of times and never been disappointed with the quality of the food or the members of staff. Its beautiful quality food and from the minute you walk in you are treated with respect by all of the staff. There is a few small tables for small groups to eat in and there is a fresh salad bar on the counter where you are handed a good sized tub to fill with whatever fresh salad you fancy. The portion size of the food is generous especially the chips! It is fairly priced and I have never felt let down by Abduls as a company. Without airing my laundry, me and my partner had a homeless spell before christmas and we were cold, it was throwing it down with rain outside and we needed the toilet and food. We went in and the staff could see we were distressed, they allowed us to use the toilet and gave us 2 portions of chips and told us to pay them back when we were no longer homeless. The minute we were housed we paid them back of course but this shows the level of hospitality is available from this establishment. Amazing place to go! read more

Is the previous reviewer getting this place mixed up with somewhere else? I've been coming here for years and it's never less than good, and usually excellent. The staff are clean, well presented, polite and efficient. You can see the food being cooked as you wait, and if you want you can eat there an then as there are a small number of tables available. Food is excellent value as well. Today I had masala machli as a starter, and the portion was as big as some retaurant's main meals. Most of the curries include chapati or rice or naan as well. We've never had a bad meal from Abdul's and we've been customers for years. In fact I'd go as far to say that this is the best take-out curry I've ever had, and the queues at the till seem to support my view. Very highly recommended. read more

best Indian takeaway in the area. Shame they don't deliver but I guess they don't need to

I ordered from here last night at about 9 pm. I was told that it would be fifteen minutes.when i arrived i can honestly say it was warmer outside than in this store another gentleman went to his car to get his coat. when i was served the staff where less than friendly to be honest. i then waited and watched other people follow me in get served and get there food before me. Also my order was left on the side to go cold when i pointed this out i was told the side was a warm plate. so why do they put people cold drinks on there? it seemed they where more bothered about cleaning down so they could go home than serving and making customers feel welcome. Now to the food and it was poor there was no taste to it. We order a dopiaza and i mean bland as hell. The korma was poor as well. The donner meat was flat cold. The best part was probably the chips .I ended up throwing it away in the end i was that disappointed with it. well been ere loads ov times and i love it but was in ponty last week so went there well my fella did and it was crap always get chicken wraps with chips and bottle ov pop neva gave him pop and also costs up more don't no why 550 each at wakey but 6 pound each at pont ...and the wrap had no chicken in ...next time ill go to wakey and i shall tell Abdul's if he is there .....:O( read more
