To her credit there was one visit where I was feeling very overwhelmed and emotional and she did show kindness in that moment, which I truly appreciated. I also understand that early on my son needed frequent check ups and the office was trying to accommodate us by squeezing us into the schedule. However the wait times were often very long sometimes an hour to two hours in the lobby, followed by additional waiting time once we were in the exam room. As a brand new mom with a newborn less than two weeks old that experience was extremely overwhelming. I do appreciate that they were making an effort to fit us in and continue monitoring my son but the scheduling could have been managed better. If we were being squeezed in it would have helped to do so at times where the wait wouldn't be quite as long, especially given how challenging those early days can be for new parents. Overall I didn't always feel the level of consistency, warmth, and communication I was hoping for during visits. Because of that I ultimately decided to switch to another provider who was a better fit for my needs. I appreciate the care that was provided but this just wasn't the right match for me and my family.

I work in healthcare and consider myself to be reasonable and open minded but I plan on switching my daughter out of Dr. Castillo's care. As mentioned in previous reviews, our experience is extremely similar, Dr. Castillo has little to no bedside manner. I feel she is extremely judgmental and dismissive of concerns. We have seen her twice to see if our experience would be different but each time she has reminded us why we want to switch pediatricians. In my opinion, she does not appear to enjoy her job and forgets that her job is to educate not judge. Both experiences she has been flat, dismissive of any of our concerns, and appears uninterested/irritated with any questions or concerns we bring up. We do not feel like she is a fit for our family and want someone who actually cares about our family and validates our feelings and addresses our concerns. Some reassurance would be nice. It goes a long way for a first time mom who's postpartum and already beating herself up. It'd be nice to have a pediatrician that does not add to that but reassures a mother who is trying their best.

Dr. Pike is a wonderful physician. He is approachable, knowledgeable, and quick to respond to…read moremedical concerns. My 18 month son has seen him for both regular check ups and when ill. His medical assistant Mati is also the sweetest. He is new to the Lodi Sutter clinic but I believe was previously located at the Modesto Sutter office.
