It might be a buck or two more, but you pay for the convenience of not traveling to the big city. They always have clearance racks and sales going on. Wait patiently and the item you're looking for might turn up cheaper. This week they had a huge candle clearance. $6-$10 for multi wicks. We bought a few simply because it's -17° outside and it's also nice to have some fragrance flowing. In our two trips to this location, the women have been super friendly and kicked back with us. They're pretty knowledgeable as to what's on the shelves and where. If it's super slow, we all have a story to share. The location is perfectly between the grocery, the dollar store and Ollie's. (I did buy a different Stormy Kromer that day, a most useful summer work cap that they no longer make.) The following winter, I was upset I didn't buy that classic lumberjack plaid cap! I discovered stormykromer.com and ordered my first winter Stormy Kromer, a gray one that kinda goes with everything. I loved it so much, I have since ordered and own about 8 or 9 Stormy Kromer hats and caps, including a bucket hat (officially the "SK Cruiser" made from duck) that I really like wearing when I'm shooting photos. Baseball caps don't work for photographers when they have to turn the camera sideways. I love my SK Cruiser because the brim crunches out of the way if I turn the camera sideways. Stormy Kromer caps are available at retailers across the county, and they also make custom caps. You can order a "Keep 'er Movin'" embroidered Stormy from manitowocminute.com. If you watch "Outdoor Wisconsin" on public TV, you've seen Dan Small wearing Stormy Kromer caps, too. I bought an official Stormy Kromer in Rhinelander with a Hodag embroidered on the ear flap. Ear flap? Yup! The main feature of the winter Stormy Kromers is a flap that pulls down over your ears when you need it and folds back up when you don't need it. Almost all the products are made in Ironwood or a second plant in Wisconsin. The quality is top notch, winter caps are made from a wool/nylon blend and are felt lined to keep your noggin' warm - and your ears with that handy flap! Caps are sized, guaranteeing a snug fit and so it won't blow off your head - a demand Stormy made himself when he had his wife make his first cap in 1903. Customer service is also top notch - orders are shipped in a short turnaround time. Wrong size? Exchanges are also handled very quickly, I know this because I mistakenly ordered the wrong size and they quickly corrected the error, and I stress, MY error. When you cap arrives, it includes a nice envelope that contains your packing list and a signed, thank you note from the person who packed your order. Oh, yes, each item has a serial number that you can register for a free insurance policy. I actually look forward to colder weather so I can wear my Stormy caps again!

On a recent ski trip to Indian Head, we were unexpectedly stuck with laundry to do. When we…read morecontacted our resort, we were surprised to find out that they didn't have laundry on-site. The staff kindly recommended the Bessemer Express Laundromat staying, "It's fairly new" (it also happens to be across the street from a drive through Dairy Queen, just sayin'). The Laundromat was clean and convenient to get to. It is open 24/7 and of course offers purchase of detergent and everything you could need to wash your clothes! The large sized machines are also convenient for comforters and oversized blankets/sleeping bags.

She was very honest and let me know that the wait could be 45-60 minutes. I had a little time to kill so I didn't mind the wait. I heard her tell another customer that we could order online and service might be faster. She was right. I put my order in and 10 minutes later I was driving off with my supplies. My budtender was so sweet. He came to the car, we don't have this luxury in IL for Rec only for medical. He came to the car, I asked what he needed as it was my 1st time. He said for $1 I will add a pre-roll! SOLD! This was so nice, so convenient! I will happily be going back there!

They're located between the new Marshalls and the Tractor Supply in the old K-Mart building. Ollies secret is said to be buying in bulk. In such high quantities of overstock and discontinued items, they can afford to resell everything at lower prices. They claim up to 70% savings over other stores. Pretty impressive. We didn't see many household names or popular products, but a lot of low prices. It's a large store with a wide variety to choose from. Everything being so new, there's some bugs to be worked out, but it seems to be running well. It goes without saying it's a clean store, including the restrooms. The extended hours and ample parking give this store a good chance to succeed. 02/25

I was in this store a week ago shopping for Door Dash. An item listed said "near entrance of the…read morestore". After looking around for at least 3 or 4 minutes I asked a very friendly young lady clerk. She brought me to where the item actually was which was way in the back of the store, nowhere near the front entrance. I continued shopping and had one item left and it was a four pack AA batteries. I found where all the larger packs were and asked the young lady who wasn't dealing with anyone else, standing at her register waiting for someone to come up to check out. Pretty basic question, the store manager asked her if I was with Door Dash, she said she didn't know. I politely said "yes" I am with Door Dash. She snapped at me saying "we're not here to do your shopping for you". I couldn't believe my ears, and told her if they had the right location on the app I wouldn't need help[. Anyways I was sent there again today and once again the first 2 items were not near the entrance. I ,looked this time for 10 min's or so. The same manager walked by several times and even heard me asking a man stocking soda's. She has a very obvious bad attitude. So I called Door Dash corporate to get unassigned from the order. They asked why and I explained my experience there last week, and that I was being ignored by the only person who I could ask for help. I told them please do NOT ever send me here again. And she raised her voice and said to get out of her store and angerly came at me pointing to the door saying "get out and don't come back". I will not ever go back to that store. Who would ever think that asking for help would be so triggering, a new experience for this near 60 year old man.
