She immediately understood our overall vision and balanced being funny and personable with being highly professional. Vanessa orchestrated all the trades seamlessly, with very few hiccups along the way (which is to expected with renovating an old house), yet she addressed and resolved our concerns quickly and effectively. She stayed true to our renovation timelines, which we greatly appreciated. Most importantly, Vanessa helped us create the home of our dreams. We couldn't be more thankful. Thank you, Vanessa! We absolutely love our home and feel like we gained a friend in the process.

The work was done in a very timely fashion, and was done beautifully. What a difference it makes and I'm sure it has drastically increased the value of my home. I have never had the experience of working with a Project Manager before and was so happy to be working with Cindy who organized the work to be done very efficently and was involved in the process every step of the way to make sure the work was done well. She was also very kind and patient as this was a first time renovation experience. With Cindy as Project Manager, it was stop shopping as she looked after every trade that needed to be hired. It was done beyond my expectations and my painted front door was clear coated like a race car show piece! From a very satisfied customer, Cheryl

In short, Ilya and I Roof Alberta have been outstanding. He explained all options, pros and cons, costs involved and set realistic timelines (of course weather dependent). On my roof, he worked with his crew and did quite a bit of work himself. It is evident he takes pride in his work, provides excellent workmanship and does not cut corners or rush the job. There were a few sections of the roof that were rotted and he replaced the plywood - first talked to me and sent me pics. He also recommended more professional and leak proof solution for my chimney and different method and material for my very low pitched garage roof. I have tons of reno experience myself and have hired many professionals to do work for me before. I also do tons of research (mostly on the internet), plus check references and talk to people who had similar work done. I am also at the jobsite quite a bit, almost daily, and follow very closely what is being done and how. No issues with Ilya, he checked all the boxes for me. Lastly, metal roofs are great but they are also very expensive. I had several quotes and I Roof Alberta was not the cheapest but definitely nowhere near the most expensive quote. In fact I Roof Alberta was very competitive when taking into account the quality of the materials (e.g. gauge and finish of steel) and the care they take to do a very professional job.

I would like to preface this review by stating that I have worked in the construction industry for…read morethe last 13 years and am well aware of what construction noise sounds like. So believe me when I say these guys were and absolute NIGHTMARE to have on our roof. For the duration of the project these gentleman were throwing things all over our roof, they almost knocked off our light fixtures multiple times (we detached them to avoid them breaking), they threw debris down our chimney, blew dust from the roof onto our balcony, and started work before 8am and on sundays which was outside the times posted in our notice. At one point we tried to hold our flu shut to prevent more debris from entering our home and the roofer tried to reef on the flu. When they were told to stop they yelled back down "I didn`t know what it was" as if that was an acceptable excuse to pull on our chimney. Afterwards they were quite bitter about the interaction and made as much noise as they possibly could moving forward. We know this was intentional as we could see them in the reflection of the neighbouring building making "I`m going to hit this so f***ing hard" gestures as well as we could hear them making sarcastic comments like "oh no, my hands are so wet and slippery. I don`t know how I`ll hold onto this item much longer" right before yet another loud crash. I would also like to note that every time a building manager, another contractor, or their boss attended site the decibel level was miraculously cut in half if not more. And now that the exterior is finished NOTHING is draining properly. Our doors and windows keep freezing over, and our soffit keeps raining onto our deck, and we now have random icicles that have started to form which melt and then come crashing down. To finish this review here is a list of every OSHA violation that we saw: - left tenants railings detached for over a week at a time - peed in the parking lot - moved a scaffold (3 high) with 2x6`s strung over the very top - stood on the 2x6`s on the very top - One gentleman tried to get the people on the ground to move out of the way to throw some debris off the scaffold and when he couldn`t get their attention decided to throw it anyway - Left an unused ladder in front of the exterior door then almost tried to fight one of the tenants that knocked it down while trying to exit the building. I can not express how relived I am to no longer have these people working on our building.
