Please note that this is the head office and does not have a retail branch - just for office workers and customers that are invited!

The definition of useless…read more I've been a customer of ING for 6 months and I'm in the process of cancelling my account with them. This branch is consistently understaffed, and consistently unhelpful. I'd love to pinpoint one of the many times I've been let down by this bank, but writing them here doesn't do them any justice. I've had to postpone starting the business I've always dreamed of starting for two months now, all due to the many mistakes that have been made whilst handling selling my accounts here. To anyone looking to start a bank account in The Netherlands, please don't chose ING, it's just not worth it.

I have been a customer of this bank for over 5 years and I definitely don't recommend it!…read more The customer service when I lost my card was TERRIBLE. I lost my wallet on a Saturday night (quite a popular time to lose your belongings) and tried to block my card on Sunday.I called their 24/7 line and was told I have to wait to block it until Monday, because the bank is closed. RIDICULOUS. When I traveled to Dubai and it turned out that I couldn't withdraw money from the cash machine. Again, I called the 24/7 customer service and I was told that my card wasn't unlocked for Asia and again I had to wait until the office opens (3 hours stuck at the airport), so that they could unlock it. I feel like in the 21st century ING has not yet grasped what the idea of 24/7 customer service means.

First time I went here I left after waiting more than 15 minutes without anyone helping me…read more Returned and had their greeter tell me all I needed to open an account was my ID. She's more of a salesperson with fake interest chit-chat than a helper but whatever. Another 15-minute wait while 2 people who came in after me were helped first. I asked for some water and the greeter kept saying she'd bring it right away but never did. Finally my turn. The clerk's fake "caring" attitude was bewildering because it was combined with a facial expression that didn't even try to look convincing but in fact was reserved for decaying rats. I asked him for water 3 times before he reluctantly handed me a bottle of water. I handed him my foreign ID and, long story short, he thought my ID was fake. I just stood there, amazed, while he inspected my official ID as if he'd even know the fucking difference. Unbelievable.

Our business was the victim of a ghost invoice, our supplier was hacked we recieved a ghost invoice…read moreand the bank account was with ING amsterdam. A large amount of money was transferred to this criminals account. We contacted them as soon as we spotted the devastating attack, their customer care did not seem to take the call seriously, even though we had a uk police report number. We gave them the account number of the hacker that we received in the ghost email. Their response was, (we cannot help you, report it to the police). We reported the incident to the amsterdam police, heard nothing from them. So, we called ING again for some response, has the money gone from bank we asked, after one week they finally gave us this answer, too late the money has gone, this is a week later. We question why banks once alerted to a criminal account that has been used ins a cyber attack to steal money do not act swiftly to block the account. and how do these criminals get to open one in the first place. We in the uk go through stringent searches before we can open one. cyber attacks and ghost emaling is rife and yet no one takes any action. If we were to use our account abroad for a transaction the bank maybe suspicious of, the account is blocked instantly, so why not in this case if our UK bank contacts the ING about a suspicious security alert, why is it not blocked and questions asked about the account holder, as long as banks do not act to stop these thieves, it will continue to get worse.
