One area is for the groom and his groomsmen and the other is for the bride and bridesmaids. The staff were very friendly, polite and professional. The banquet hall for the reception also looked amazing and was a good size. They have a wedding chapel onsite for indoor wedding and a pergola for outside weddings. The landscape with the ponds, open fields and the tree line all come together perfectly for amazing photo opportunities. The only real downside was that there was no wifi for people who stayed overnight which would be helpful because the cell phone signal is very limited. I highly recommend that you check this venue out for a wedding.

Interesting museum including exhibits on Greenwood history and other collections…read more Admission is free and the museum is kid friendly as well. The ground level features panels about Greenwood and South Carolina history, including local Native American history, early settlers, and history up until the early twentieth century. There's also a theatre, a dry goods store, and a hat shop, all which were neat to walk into and look around. There was also space up front that was empty at the time. Downstairs there is some more local and non-local history exhibits. Upstairs there was a display about Self Regional which had a variety of interesting medical items. There was also a room about gems and minerals, a mine (which was very cool to walk through!) and an animal exhibit. There was also an art exhibit featuring artwork from local elementary school students. I really enjoyed the exhibits specific to Greenwood history, but also felt like there was quite a bit of empty space. The museum has an elevator to access all three floors. Because we came in March, the railroad center wasn't open, but we hope to see that the next time we're in town.

The Musuem features permanent collections and exhibits relevant to the area and the people from the late 1800s and early 1900s. The permanent exhibits include replicas of stores in downtown Greenwood circa 1910, and are interactive as well as educational; kids especially like the train station and the Millinery shop! We also have seasonal exhibits highlighting local people and institutions of historical significance, and a summer exhibit that is aimed at being fun, educational, and with relevancy beyond our local area (Dinosaur Discovery last year, and Sonic Sensations this coming summer). Join us Sseptember 22 for our annual Dinner on the Diner! Dinner, an original play featuring a train heist, The Railroad Historical Center showcases a historic 1906 Baldwin steam Engine, and 6 cars. All but one are totally restored to their period of use, and the final car's restoration is in the works. In fact, our collection of historic cars is the largest, and most accurately restored static display in upstate S.C.!

Larry is very good. He's laconic and somewhat intimidating, but Chef Larry is a CHEF, and you'll enjoy what he and his staff bring out. Larry is a treasure, in other words. You need to try them, but you need to call in advance to make sure they are serving when you want to arrive. To the immediate north of Greenwood, SC, as you come in on US-72, about 10 miles from Greenwood's town center, there's nothing that compares to Bermuda's for dining, and on any side of Greenwood, the restaurant at Bermuda's should be a destination restaurant for those of you who've missed out on it. Perhaps it's because Stoney Point isn't near the hotels in Greenwood that there's not much traffic here. Bermuda's IS a restaurant at Stoney Point that's open to the public, you'll have to look for it, and it's on par (pun intended) with the best restaurants Greenwood has to offer. Hell, I don't play golf, and I like it here. I don't understand why there isn't more dining traffic at Bermuda's from locals, other than the fact you may not know if you can get in because of a party that's rented the place, or even what their hours are. The chef (and his staff) are some of the more creative in the Greenwood area, the service (even if you don't live here) is outstanding, and the dining area and bars are cozy and friendly. This place may be the most well-kept secret restaurant in Greenwood, and I'm not sure if they want to keep it secret. If they do, I apologize. The kitchen is always willing to get creative for my vegetarian requests, depending on what they have: for those of you who are carnivores, I'm told by colleagues and friends that the meat-based dishes are outstanding. Indeed, Bermuda's is the first choice for my company's business dinners and meetings, since most of those include people looking for a good meat. You SHOULD call them in advance before visiting: the restaurant is usually only open at certain times (typically, dinner on Friday and Saturday, and Thursday night happy hour; they usually have lunch Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday), and when the place is reserved for a party, wedding, reception, or whatever, there may not be dining service. As I mentioned, I live here, and I've walked up to the clubhouse several times only to find that I should have read my newsletter. As of this review, Bermuda's has been offering lunch on Saturday.

Poor choice for stays more than one night. They charge premium rates for low-budget service…read moreexperience at this hotel. They deliberately operate with minimal housekeeping staff. During our six-night stay, our trash was never emptied, toilet paper was not replaced, and dirty towels were not taken away or refreshed. Guests are expected to remove their own trash and place it along with used towels outside their door. To receive clean towels, toilet paper, or trash can liners, you must either catch a housekeeper while they are cleaning out a checked-out room or go down to the front desk to get supplies and towels. Do yourself a favor and choose the Hampton or the Fairfield that provides normal hotel services. Kindly note that early check-in is not accommodated, as the elderly male desk clerk rudely informed us official check-in time begins at 3pm.

Lobby has 7 guests waiting for rooms. Coffee machines are not operating despite the mast manager stating he just cleaned and reset them. So, no room and no coffee and left to wait and hope the 3 of us can shower and change before a dinner reservation at 6pm. 2 stars for an updated and clean lobby. If not for that 0 stars.
