The quote was good so I signed a contract. After they got here I was asked to come out and told that they misunderstood the work and it was going to cost a lot more to have the work done. I was over a barrel and ended up agreeing to the higher price. One tree later died that they trimmed, and they left a mess - torn tree roots sticking up. I can't recommend them at all.

Even after being asked/reminded several times over the course of a month and a half, nothing. Just responses of "I'll send it tomorrow", but tomorrow never comes. Can't speak to the quality of their work, but communication and follow through seem to be seriously lacking. After almost 2 months of trying to give them the work, I ended up calling another arborist and starting over.

Boy was I ever surprised! In my new home with older pine trees, a big snow storm left me with more…read moretree damage. I had no time to take care of the mess while moving to and organizing the new home. Let alone some stranger knocking on my door. An elderly chap with a wife in their car, I had to lend an ear and forget about the pending tax return. I don't often ask anything except do you have a town permit to solicit door to door, but I had an urge to talk. Then came the real reason he was here...the tree damage. we walked around the yard talked about what I knew had to be taken care of and a bit more. I was given a verbal price that I could not have beaten anywhere on the Cape. I agreed, we shook hands and he made a call. It was about 2PM and I was told they would be here this afternoon. Oh, yea I wondered what was next. Well, he left and about 15 minutes later a caller told me the team would be arriving about 4PM...AND THEY DID. 3 guys with an 85 foot boom truck which would be of no use for the project. OK, the 3 dawned on climbing gear and trees came down. Then a bobcat arrived on scene. Another 10 minutes and a log chipper was in front of my house. Work force was now up to 5 plus a supervisor and by 7PM everything was done! The work I had shook hands on, an additional pile of branches, the entire house frontage the the roadway in front of the house and the driveway were all cleaned. Everyone was gone when Dale rang the door bell, I paid the agreed upon price, had a nice talk with Dale and his wife. A couple of other tree problems that might need some professional attention were pointed out and a promise to return when called. Another hand shake and we departed each with friendly smiles and seance of a job well done, well above my expectations!

Ken Sears who installed the control panel never removed a breaker from the controller and connected the 2 wires correctly so my irrigation went off everyday, twice a day, when I was in the hospital for 3 weeks during all the rain we had. I went to the office of Sears Landscaping to speak too my "good buddy" Rick Sears last week. And have yet to hear back from Rick Sears. I called Cooper Landscaping who discovered why the rain sensor never worked. Now I have to wait for my water bill before my attorney can file a lawsuit. Imagine spending 7K and having to hire another landscape company to fix their screw ups? Posters and pictures will be around mid-cape warning residents and companies of Rick Sears and this scumbag company. You want to deal with a professional company call Cooper Landscaping. They were on time, worked safely, and cleaned all debris after the job. They were priced fairly. Both John and the office staff were professional and helpful in all communications. Such a refreshing change from the usual unprofessional nonsense you get from most other service providers on the Cape. I will definitely use them next time. The absolute WORST! Unresponsive. They put you off with no word of when they will show up or even…read morefinish the job. After the tornado in july, these guys did show up to take the tops off of a couple precarious trees but they didn't come back for 2 MONTHS to take the rest down and then they never ground the stumps that they were asked to do. 2 more months later and we had to go with someone else. We kept trying to get them to come back to clean/finish up one particular area and well, they were useless and difficult to deal with. The owner is rude and and acts like a bully. Not to mention the first time these guys came, their machinery knocked down the power line that goes directly to my house. Just dont bother. They are not worth the hassle. I will continue to spread the bad word on these guys in hopes that no one ever has a similar experience. You should NEVER yell at your customer, guy. Never.
