We called ATR to repair our dishwasher. Gave them the model number and based on the problem they said they would have to order the part. They set the appointment date and gave us a time frame 10-2, date and the name and phone number of the technician. At 1:50 when we didn't hear from them we called to confirm our appointment and they said they had no record of an appointment and they were done for the day (we waited an entire week for the appointment). The guy on the phone was not apologetic and said if we didn't receive a text we didn't have an appointment. When asked if he could check on the status of our part he said they had left for the day (1:50 on a Friday). Terrible customer service. read more

They came on time and that was about the only good thing. They scratched my Cherry wood kitchen floors when pulling out the fridge, and then what made matters worse was the fact that the tech said he would deny it so he would not get in trouble. My wife called for 5 weeks and did not have any of her calls returned. No customer service whatsoever. I finally called and finally got a hold of someone. I hate to say bad things, but I would give them zero stars if possible. They worked with us for months until the work was actually done. It was slow and horrible customer service, not prompt, did not return phone calls and not professional. (For example, after doing a major repair, they left - leaving massive extra parts sitting on my driveway. What am I supposed to do with them? When you replace a part - take the old one away. To give you a run down of the two techs that actually showed up. First guy was nice and on time. He brought in no testing equipment just got on the phone said they would be back when parts came in. Second guy returns over a month later with a miserable attitude which i honestly dont care about if you know what you are doing. Needs to borrow an extension cord cuz ummm techs don't carry one?installs cover on back of fridge all mangled cause his install was messy. Dont care much about that either as long as it worked. No good. Now my review Abslolutely horrible expierence with this company. Home depots insurance company ( assuriant) uses them on their repairs. They are also horrible to deal with. I went 6 weeks of reaching out to this company. In that time span they only called my wife 2x to confirm what the insurance company had set up. There were days they just didn't call or show up. If you leave a message nobody will return your call. If you call the owners cell phone it goes to the same office answering machine. A girl did finally call me back after I had enough and called home depot corporate. She said if I had any problems with the work they did I should schedule through my insurance company for them to return but then she said if their was anything wrong with the last work they did do to call them back. I must have called these people 20-30x. No customer service capabilities. After all that is said home depot called me with a list of people they use and got me a new tech. New company got the trouble ticket, called me that same day as they got an opening. Showed up and found the problem right away. They were surprised at the shotty work that was done and needed to order new parts. This was on a Tuesday, by Friday night they called me and apologized for calling me so late but the new parts had arrived and wanted to come Saturday morning to install. Appointment was set for 10am and by 12 repair was completed. That's customer service ( actually calling people and working to fix the issue) My advice to this company is learn how to return calls and explain to people you are either very busy or you don't have a tech that knows what he is doing and tell the insurance company you don't need the work. 6 weeks I had to wait for what reason? Appliances are covered with Assurant Service Protection Advantage Plan. Technician came out Jan. 18th and ordered parts for both repairs. 27 days later on Feb. 13th. tech. came back with the wrong parts. I called Above the Rest 10 days later for an update, again had Ordered the wrong parts to fix. A few days later, received an email from Assurant telling us the washer is unrepairable and will not cover it any longer. GE service repair, fixed panel on dishwasher and caused a leak. Same panel broke again, set up service appointment via GE to find out the same panel and another part had to be replaced. Had an appointment that was cancelled because GE said that there was an unpaid bill - not sure how that's our problem. Update** - Above the rest followed up and was able to help us out when we really needed it. It is rare that I have been moved to write a review like this on a company. However, this is a very, very bad company. I was stunned at the rude and downright abusive way I was treated when all I was doing was attempting to reschedule a repair. To note, the repair technician was very kind but he could not schedule his initial appointment at a time when someone could be home. (I was out of state dealing with a painful family crisis) The name of the person who answered the phone was Beth and in all of my years on this earth dealing with contractors and repair people she was one of the meanest and rudest and most inconsiderate people I have ever dealt with. Top 3, honestly. And...when I couldn't remember and asked her name, she wouldn't repeat it. And...kept hanging up on me when I was calling back trying to speak to her manager. Problem is that this company was the one that Lowes assigned to me to do the repair. When I finally called back they told me that the owner wasn't in. Miraculously, he arrived back in the office when I was on put on hold. He explained he had his procedures to follow from Lowes and that is fine, but my problem at this point in attempting to speak to him was the way in which I was treated which he just never dealt with. Very sad. I am a business owner too and I NEVER, EVER treat my customers like that. I do not allow people on my staff to ever treat my customers like that either. So.. Came out to service a washing machine from best buy as part of best geek squad warranty. The company was not authorized to do repairs on my brand washer but still accepted the assignment (never said they were not authorized until they were going out the door and told me another service provider would have to get the parts) and came out so they could get the quick visit service charge. I complained to best buy and they said this company was first available and should not have accepted the job if not certified. Waste of my time because they are not authorized. Also the tech only touched the machine to lay his clipboard on it. He asked me what the problem was upon getting into the house. I said agitator was not moving. He said nothing I can do with that I will put in paperwork for complete rebuild because there are only 3 parts to this washer and they must be broken. read more

Did not show up for the scheduled repair 11/13/15;12-4 pm. Appointment arranged though Home Depot were we had purchased the Samsung refrigerator 4/2014....No call...no explanation for the no show. Contacted Home Depot Warranty Program at 4:15.....rep agreed to call back after contacting Above the Rest. The rep never called back. Service guy said we needed 2 new parts even though it was just over a year old. They charged us a fee and still waiting for parts and a phone call back after numerous attempts to get in touch with them. I'm starting this review by saying that I have NEVER written a bad review before, but I am so frustrated. This company does NOT call you back, I left numerous messages because they NEVER answer their phone. I have a warranty through Lowes and had a service call on Feb 9, a part was supposed to be ordered, 2 weeks later I'm calling to find out if the part is in and NO ONE calls you back. Finally, after many calls and emails, Lowes was finally able to get them to respond. They said the part was in and I would get a call to schedule an appointment to have it installed. The tech arrived on time, I'll give him that, but he never read the work order and he didn't have the part. He told me they would have to call to reschedule, I thought my head was going to explode. I was shocked when I began reading the other reviews, apparently NOT answering calls is how they run their business. Someone from Above the Rest finally called me back about an hour later (I'm sure only because Lowes and GE got involved), she proceeded to tell me she never got any of my messages and "she spends all day calling people back", yeah right!!!! I was concerned when I saw some of the reviews for Above the Rest, but I can say my experience with them was a great one. There were several issues with my extended warranty which caused some delays, but Above the Rest was responsive and knowledgeable and got my repair done as quickly as possible. I had two different techs come to my home and both were kind, knowledgeable and respectful of my property. I think a lot of these other reviewers are taking issues with their warranty company and manufacturer out on Above the Rest, who is just the messenger. read more

The service man was nice enough but it fridge door needed replacement because it came out of the box damaged initially. The door was delivered prior so I had to make an additional call to book the service. Only when litigation was mentioned a call was returned. This company, at the time of the initial consultation, came and did a very vague inspection of my refrigerator, determined "the problem" and ordered the parts. No in-depth testing of components, etc. I cannot contest for their knowledge or experience but their customer service and timely response to calls is HORRIBLE. Horrible experience, the service person didn't even ring the bell, he just stuck his card on the door. My car was in the driveway obviously I'm home, and the door bell was an inch away. Worst company ever. They came to look at my GE range. I was told they were going to call GE to discuss the problem After not hearing back from them for 2 weeks I called. I was told they were still waiting for GE to return their call. I call them again a week later and left several messages. When they finally decided to call me back, I was told the same thing, they were waiting for GE. I decided to call GE myself. GE told me that none of this was true. Our washing machine broke and wouldn't spin. It is under warrantee so GE sent Above the Rest to fix it. This happened on a Sunday and they did not come until Friday and said they needed to order a part and it would be 3-5 days. After 10 days, they called that the part was in but that we needed to wait another 4 days until it could be installed. After the entire 14 day wait, we were told they did not have the correct tool and that they would "expedite shipping". No one ever answered the phone in the office. Stay away. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! We have total home protection insurance. Problem with our wall oven and we called and we were referred to Above The Rest Appliance Repair. First bad sign that this company is BELOW the rest is that initially nobody picked up the phone and had to leave messages in order to schedule a service call. Waited two days for a return call and had to wait an additional six days for an appointment. Service guy shows up and we told him that we're getting an error message on the screen and he examines the wall oven and claimed that we needed a new part. In the presence of me and my wife, the repairman said that he would have to look up the model and serial numbers to order the part and that his company would call us back and schedule a new appointment. Almost 3 weeks later no phone call from anyone including Above the Rest Appliance. I called them today to follow up and according to the company the repairman claims that when he left the oven was working and our work order was closed. This company is a HUGE disappointment. I had dealt with them in the past and had GREAT experiences. However, that was not the case today. Two weeks ago, they sent "Andrew" to service my Bosch washing machine. The machine was working but the knob was not functioning properly (it was stripped). Andrew said a "board" needed to be ordered, so he ordered the part and I paid in full ($488). Two weeks later I still had not heard from them so I called them up and inquired about the part. They said it had come in and sent "James" to my home today (Friday, 9/11/15) to install the part. My assistant was at my home (in lieu of me) when James worked on the machine. He left after a short time of working on the washing machine and left a message with my assistant that they had ordered the wrong part. Nothing else was said. I came home, attempted to do a load of laundry and the machine won't even so much as turn on. Evidently, according to their secretary, "Beth", Andrew ordered the wrong part and James tried to install the wrong part. In essence, James broke the machine. James, never returned my calls, never explained to my assistant that he broke the machine, never mentioned to her that the machine is no longer working, never apologized for breaking the machine, and never said if he would do anything to rectify the problem. Now I have NO washing machine and the "possibility" of them sending someone out on Monday to "try to fix it". read more
