I would leave zero stars if I could. This company picked up my son's car to tow it & destroyed the oil pan, causing a lot of damage. His car wouldn't even hold any oil so they were not able to run the diagnostic that it was originally getting towed for. Luckily the garage it was towed to saw this & called out the tow truck driver. They agreed to pay for the repair for the oil pan after the mechanic pushed for them to take accountability but refused to compensate my son for now having to be without a car 5 extra days & missing work because now they had to order a new oil pan due to THEIR incompetence!!! Car got towed for illegal parking. The admin lady was helpful in helping me with the paperwork. You will need your ownership paper and your ID to collect your car. They take credit, debit and cash. The yard is messy and not well paved plus there's no waiting area so it would be terrible waiting in winter. Cost $241.54 for 3 hours, so it will be more if you collect it later. Called this towing company to get a high-level estimate for towing my truck ~400 km. I explained that I hadn't finalized the exact drop-off point yet (it was going to be somewhere within a 15 km radius -- home, dealership, or truck stop). The dispatcher on the phone was extremely unhelpful and borderline rude. Instead of assisting or giving me a ballpark figure -- which is a normal part of any service estimate -- she insisted on an exact address and acted irritated that I was even asking. Making unhelpful remarks that 15km diff will cost 1$ to 5,000$ as an estimate... I ended up giving a random location just to move the conversation forward. The final price turned out to be nearly three times higher than what other companies later quoted for the same distance and service while providing fast and polite service. My car was picked up from road after I was stopped fir speeding. The driver I find out later picked the car from the front ,it being a 4wd.big nono.after 14 days of being in compound, I came to pick it up. Was told on phone to come after 12pm. Came at 1.45pm and was charged an extra day of storage. When trid to argue that an hour and change, I should not be paying an extra day of storage. So the big girl that looks like a yeti, tells me I shouldn't of been drinking and being impaired, so that wouldn't of happen. Remember I was stopped for speeding. Every one there is rude unprofessional money hungry people. And on top of it all it's our police's go to people. Stay away from these people.would not recommended. After our SUV went "Christine" on us by locking the doors and the door security code going batty, I called a friend in a panic to give a recommendation for a towing company that could help. He recommended Abram's and after a few phone calls and getting the number, I ordered a car to come out and help us. A tiny little Echo showed up in about 25 minutes, leading to jokes about how it would tow anything, and the very friendly service guy popped our door in about 4 minutes flat. Service was fast, friendly and reasonably priced. Would recommend and use again if need be! read more

I called because the starter that I had just replaced in my car wasn't working. When the Abrams guy showed up he suggested he lift with the hook and just tapped on the starter so I didn't have to pay a full towing fee ($250 plus km) but just a service call instead for $70. Called them to move a tool box, was told they have performed many toolbox tows before. The driver showed up unaware of how to load it up. He ended up breaking the handle bar. When it arrived at the desired location there was dents on the top of the hutch from having it strapped to tight. Contacted the office and the staff was very unprofessional telling me to deal with the situation between me and the driver. After I was told the box would be insured of any damages. The operator on the phone was polite and forthcoming with information regarding price and wait time. I was told that the driver would arrive in 60-90 minutes, he arrived in 50. The driver was friendly which was nice especially when I found out he was nearing the end of his 12 hour shift. The driver took a look at the car gave me an option for a boost or a tow to the mechanic. I chose the boost, saved $100, and drove the car to the mechanic on my own. Based on this experience I would use Abrams again/recommend their service. read more

The guy did not get our car started with his puny booster and charged us $85 plus tax for it. He claimed that his booster would even start trucks but he could not even get my car engine to attempt to turn. He recommended that they tow our car to get it checked at the shop even though I'm pretty sure it was just a dead battery. Terrible service and even worst customer service. They came to change my flat tire while in the process of taking my spare tire off from the back of my jeep, they broke the cover that covered my tire. When the guy was done he threw everything in the trunk. After the guy drove away, I noticed that the spare tire bolts were also missing. I called customer service to let them know and the lady just screamed at me and said that she did not believe me. I never got my spare tire bolts back and the tire cover is still broken. If you don't want your car to be damaged or missing parts after your service, I highly recommend not using this towing service. read more

My battery ran out after getting groceries. I called Abrams Towing and within 10 minutes, someone showed up. My car was back up and running within 5 minutes! The best part was that the gentleman who helped me applied all the current social distancing rules, as I do. He even arrived wearing a protective mask. I really appreciated that. I will only give 1 star to Abrams Towing for now because of my bad experience with their towing driver Mr. Ali. He was very rude, argumentative and saying foul words to me while in duty. It is not worth paying $221.00 dollars to this service provider if their employee or personnel acts like he knows everything and we just have to shut up so he can just do his own way defeating the purpose of calling a tow truck. He wants to drive my car to the shop and I told him that I called a tow truck because the car is not drivable ( no brakes). So, future customers of Abrams, if you call for a towing from Abrams, tell the dispatcher NOT to send to you Mr. Ali. He is more trouble when he arrives in your location. read more

Truly disgusted at their customer service. Needed a tow, as I had a flat tire, and couldn't throw on the spare because the key bolt had threaded away. I was told a car would come in 2 hours, 2.5 hours later, a YARIS comes, checks the situation, then says a Tow should come - which is what I was expecting.... 3.5 hours pass, and nothing comes except ANOTHER YARIS, telling me the same thing. Finally an hour after that a Tow truck comes. The first Yaris should have communicated my needs IMMEDIATELY. Instead, I was waiting in the cold (-30) for over 6 hours while they couldn't manage their internal communication. Driver didn't interpret my directions correctly and took a long time to arrive. At arrival, instead of addressing his inability to arrive when stated, he got mad at me for "telling him the wrong directions", even though I repeatedly told dispatch the exact route I took to get to where I was. Not being in the state of mind to argue back I apologized and still he kept insinuating that I should pay him for his trouble of finding me. Very rude and unprofessional, pretty much yelling at me in front of my girlfriend. Fortunately I am in a positive state of mind and did not argue back and make matters worse. I cannot even give this place one star. I waited more then an hour to speak to a representative on the phone. My car broke down and they gave me one price on the phone and then when they came to tow the car it was a completely different price and an addition $75. The tow truck driver, named Marvin, was so rude and threatened to tow my car to the police pound if I did not pay him immediately. He was harassing me , yelling at me, cursing at me and would not give me back my credit card once I provided a form a payment. I tried to file a complaint with the company and tried calling a manager multiple times but no one ever returned my calls or voicemails. If you do not want to be harassed, then I suggest you stay away from them. Worst company I have ever encountered! I've never had any issues with Abram's until recently. In fact they used to be my go-to towing service; however, after the disingenuous experience I had this week, I wil l no longer be using nor endorsing their service. I called the company because I couldn't get my vehicle to start. Not being a mechanic, I specifically asked for a tow truck in case my vehicle needed to be moved. They sent me a tiny car with a boost and before checking to see if my vehicle was functional, left. Of course when I tried to move it, it didn't budge. So I called back and asked for a tow. I was charged for all the services provided despite never having actually needing them. The indivual (Shane) on the phone was far from a "customer service" representative. He was rude and abrupt, and put an absolutely horrible taste in my mouth. Worse than gasoline if you can imagine. Just a horrible, horrible experience. read more

Horrible, truly horrible. I needed a battery boost. I called the TD auto club. They said that a driver was on his way and would be there within 1 hour. They said it should take about 45 minutes on average but would be less than 1 hour for sure. After 2 hours, I called and TD auto service said it would be less than 30 minutes. After another 45 minutes I called, and they said it would be within the next 30 minutes. I had to cancel multiple plans because of this. Ever bully I gave up. After 4.5 hours, they called. The driver was very apologetic and empathetic. He said the dispatcher kept re routing him whenever he wanted to go downtown to help jump my car. Apparently, the dispatcher had no problem saying they would arrive for 30 minutes and then re routing the driver, and ruining my afternoon. Extremely unprofessional. read more

Called for a quote to tow my AWD SUV. After stating make and model of vehicle and confirming AWD, I was quoted $75 for hookup, and $3.90 per km (for a total of around $106+HST). I was told the truck would be there in 1-2 hours. The truck arrived 3 hours later. Once our car was taken to the delivery location, the driver informs me that the original quote was wrong, and that I needed to pay an additional $75 because my car was AWD. When I called in to the shop, the original girl I talked to was gone, and the guy had the gall to accuse me of lying! Final price was $204!!!! If I had known the true price, I would have just gone with another company! One other shop was $40 less than Abrams' jacked-up final price! read more

I called this company to get my car towed to the dealership. The company quoted me $330 dollars from Sheppard and Don Mills area to Sheppard and Markham. When the driver arrived to my building I lead him to the underground parking. After reassessing the car situation, my car started to work again. So I told the driver that I no longer required his service of towing. He said I had to pay him $150.00 dollars for a service charge. I told him that I would not pay him as he did nothing. As I was saying this to him he aggressively was pointing his finger in my face. So I got scared of his approach and started to close my window. He then started to forcefully pound hard on my car so I proceeded to drive away scared for my own safety. He then threw himself in front of my car (luckily I did not hit him). I drove away feeling very scared for my safety and called 911 for help. This driver followed me and put my safety at risk. Driving trying to cut me off. Putting my life and others on the road in danger. I spoke to the Toronto Police to report the situation. After the police intervening, the driver was instructed to leave the scene. This was beyond unacceptable behaviour. Trying to capitalize on any opportunity trying to swindle me for money and then put my safety at risk. I have not yet decided if I want to take this further and file for a report him for reckless driving a vehicle. Attempt to damage personal property. Attempted assault. Car driver plate number 3323. In actuality the gentleman who came to grab my car was amazing. He was polite and patient, and even helped me bring all the stuff that I had in my car up to my apartment, even though I know he didn't need to - for him alone I would say 5 stars. But the dispatcher Tom was argumentative and curt, which I don't appreciate in any capacity. I'm having a shitty night and just trying to make my situation easier by requesting where I'd like my vehicle to go. Although he was being instructed by my insurance company to take the vehicle else where, he could have been more mindful that AGAIN this is a shitty night for me (rather then being normalized) and still exerted proper customer service by behaving in the way his drive was. read more
