We were in Albuquerque for Balloon Fiesta, and driving down Rt.66 we happened to stop in to see Absolutely Neon. We have a love of neon and what you can do with it, the colors, the art of creating sculptures with glass is amazing. What a fantastic store; and owner Robert is such a fascinating person! He turned on all the neon in his store for us -- what a sight! He was kind to show us around his studio, fired up the burners to show us the actual process involved in creating neon, and elaborated on what he does. Talk about an amazing little gem located on old historic Route 66, best stop my wife and I made in years. Robert welcomed us with history, life and wonder that is all neon. It was a joy to see first hand the process, design and execution of implementing the mesmerizing neon sign. Robert took time to show us his latest projects honoring small town city landmarks to high end custom signs for private owners. All of it was just what we needed to brighten our afternoon. Like most people have stated, Robert is very rude! My experience sounds equal to all the rest, he was rude, and obnoxious to me, he yelled at my co worker, and ultimately quit our job (after we rushed and jumped through hoops to get him paid on his time frame). We were all happy he quit because we found a nice guy to work with else where. read more

DO NOT PATRON THIS BUSINESS !! If I could give a lower rating I would. Robert is one of the most unprofessional, rude and aggressive people I have ever attempted to do business with. Robert was slippery on his prices... he kept changing them, and making them higher than his original quote. When I was apprehensive about renting a neon due to the cost he became incredibly aggressive. He proceeded to tell me repeatedly how rude I was even though I hadn't done anything to illicit that reaction from him. I told him he was being inappropriate and unprofessional and that he was being verbally abusive and he said "don't start that social justice bullshit with me". This is a business I will never use or recommend to anyone due to the poor behavior of the owner. In fact I would advise anyone against attempting to buy/rent neons from him. After the fact I heard numerous stories about other people's experience and Robert becoming verbally abusive and holding deposit money hostage. read more

Stay away. After I terminated a business transaction we were negotiating, the owner screamed in my face that "women would have nothing if it weren't for men" and continued verbally abusing me while physically obstructing my path to the door. read more

I didn't buy anything here, but walked in with my family and I was extremely impressed by the service. I think it was quite obvious that I wasn't going to buy anything, just wanted to look at the cool neon, but the guy treated us like we were his best customers - telling us how the neon is made, basic pricing, and wasn't pushy about getting us to buy something but basically told us what they offer and how it works if we were to get some custom neon. It really is rare, for me at least, to get such excellent service which is why I'm writing this review. Though I didn't buy anything that day, whenever the opportunity arises for me to buy some cool neon, I know where I will get it. read more

I have taken a few neon signs to be repaired , the prices were great ,in fact they very low compared to else were i shopped . I dont live in Albuquerque , but the money saved and the excellent quality of work was well worth the trip . read more
