When we arrived , we were told there were no rooms available. We were told that check in was 1600. When a manager happened to pass by, she offered rooms at a 40 euro charge. Serve yourself coffee is available at a cost of, the room's coffee is provided on the first day but not after that and there are hidden costs everywhere. The chain is a Marriott knockoff worry any of the dedication to customer service and an avarice that I find sickening. I have spent literally thousands of nights in hotels in over forty countries , this was one of the worst for cheapness and failure to provide any customer service. Never again.

Easy access to the hotel and not too far from the city center, but the bulk of the positive review comes from their spectacular breakfast buffet! I had my fair share of breakfast buffets in Spain, but this one blew it out of the water. The quality of the food was top notch, they offered a huge variety for all, including allergy visitors (Gluten Free, Soy Free,Vegan, etc). If you stay here do not miss out on their freshly squeezed OJ from the local Valencia oranges, well worth it! Fast forward to the room, very modern, TONS of space, nice view of the city (On the higher levels), decent amount of amenities, but if I had to pick out one negative, it would be the lousy beds. With all of that said, the positives outweigh the negatives easily in this scenario. I guess I should mention the very affordable price point this hotel offers, which I could chalk up to the fact that Valencia is not as popular for tourists compared to the many other tourist populated cities in Spain. That is not to take away from this gorgeous city though, as it is well worth a visit for its breathtaking architecture and many worthwhile attractions. In the end, I could easily recommend this hotel to any looking for a up to date luxury style hotel at a great price point!

Walls so thin and uninsulated you can hear every thought being thunk in every room around you. Seriously noisy when people are moving around or even having normal conversation in the next room. Bring ear plugs and sleeping pills, or pay a bit more for a better hotel. Night guy at desk was very nice. Day guy was a bit aloof. Breakfast is cheap (less than 2 euro) and you get almost that much value. Better to grab a bite elsewhere. There are many many options near by. Valencia is amazingly beautiful. One benefit of staying at the Continental is that you won't want to be in your room much and you can see more of this great city. I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could but I'm rounding down because I'm tired from two nights of uncomfortable sleeping.

The room was cozy, and the front desk staff were helpful. The included breakfast consists of 2 croissants and coffee/tea. My room had no air-conditioning, but it was not a problem (though this was during springtime). The walls are thin enough that you will hear most of what transpires in the hallways, and in the hallways you can hear people snoring (etc). There is free-wifi in the lobby. Location-wise, it is about 1 minute walking to the town hall, and 2 minutes to the train station. At nightime, it is about 20 euros to get to the airport by cab. There are a ton of shops and restaurants in the vicinity, though the beach is not nearby. If you don't expect a deluxe experience, this is an ok option.

Chiara literally told me it was my fault for not knowing the prices, even though they required a document to fill out for the laundry, because I didn't do it, they filled it out for me and charged me a ridiculous amount. Meanwhile as I'm arguing the charges, there's an older couple next to me that is arguing that they booked a room with a balcony, Chiara said to them that not all rooms have a balcony and even though it has a picture on the reservation doesn't mean they will get the room they want. This place will deceive you and cheat you out of money. Don't go.

The service at the front desk also is good, and the front desk can sell discounted tickets to the aquarium. The rooms are small and not much to look at, but they are very clean. The wifi does not work well and basically cut in and out the whole time we were there, making it impossible to play any movies or shows on our iPads. As a result of the poor wifi, I would not recommend it to someone who is travelling on business. The location definitely is the best thing about the hotel, which must be getting it the rating it has (along with the cost). Aside from the location and good service, it is a low frills hotel with looks to meet the low cost. So, depending on what you are looking for this hotel may or may not work for you. I would consider staying again if the price was good, although I definitely would also look at the other available options.

Firstly, the air conditioning in my room did not work. Not having AC in Spain is actually quite common, but they do have AC. The one in my room in particular just didn't work. There are NO windows in the room to open. So overall, it was extremely hard to sleep because the room was super stuffy and hot. Secondly, the night shift staff isn't attentive or helpful. People were ringing the bell to be let into the hostel, the front desk person heard the bell but just let it ring. I literally watched him sit and let the bell ring while people where standing outside to be let into the hostel they're paying to stay in. It's ok on cleanliness. Great on location. Everything else is super meh. I'm not a fan and would never stay here again.
