They executed the design perfectly and in a timely fashion, and they were especially careful to prevent damage to our Internet and irrigation lines. Completely pleased with the work Phil and his staff did installing our backyard hardscape, landscape and pool coping and tile. We receive so many compliments on how they turned a small sloped backyard into an outdoor oasis. Justin's design plan was solid, as he took into consideration our desires for stone choices, plant options, drainage considerations and more. Despite crummy spring weather, they completed the job within a couple weeks of the estimate. Our new neighborhood had significant drainage issues which they worked with us on amending the plan to address. A few weeks ago I sought online for a source for gravel for my driveway, approximately an eighth of a mile long. I'd had gravel delivered twice before, spread along my driveway by the simple expedient of driving its length and letting the gravel spill as the truck proceeded. I found this a very satisfactory way of keeping my driveway maintained and free of ruts, while being permeable, allowing rainwater to penetrate into the ground. Both previous graveling operations had gone without difficulty. I settled upon a company called Acadia (without an "r") on Middlebrook Pike and discussed my goal with two employees there, Dough and Lynn. I described the driveway as accurately as I could, mostly a simple straight shot except for a slight turn near the road and a short hill at the top. Again, the two previous suppliers had had no difficulty, though several years had passed since the last one. I also walked the length of the driveway while making a video, which I sent them. Their driver, Doug, said their large dump truck might have trouble maneuvering his ten-ton dump truck at the top of the slight hill, and I acknowledged that difficulty and agreed to pouring a small part of the load in a pile there for me to distribute by hand, the rest of the load to be poured along the straight part of the driveway short of the hill. Doug delivered the ten tons of gravel, 1/4th crusher run and 3/4ths 157 at the appointed time and confirmed he'd not be able to spread the gravel at the upper end of the driveway, as he'd already advised in our discussions. I asked him to go ahead and pour a small amount for me to spread with shovel and wheelbarrow. He began dumping the load, but then did not pause until I shouted at him. Apparently he'd intended to dump the entire load at the top of the hill, leaving me, almost 78 years old, to spred the whole thing by hand. After my protest he poured the rest of the load elsewhere. Acadia told me they'd come back and spread it all for $500 more. I have complained to the BBB. They recently informed me they have closed that complaint as, they said, Acadia never responded. I must consider other avenues. This is one. read more

Total rip off. The owner is crooked as a dogs hind leg. He charges $30 per hour for a "tech" level worker, but pays the worker minimum wage. He'll tear up your irrigation, then say that it's not his responsibility. His designs aren't worth the money read more

We have now had two projects completed by Acadia Landscaping in Knoxville. Both projects were completed above and beyond our expectations, on time, and each evening they cleaned the area. They arrived each day as scheduled, the employees were professional and easy to work with. We would certainly recommend them. read more

I hired Acadia when a previous landscape company I'd worked with for a few years decided I was too much trouble. For over a decade I've had serious drainage issues in my backyard that have impacted my swimming pool and surrounding landscaping. No one has been able to solve this problem. Until now. Phil and his team were able to put together a design plan that solved the drainage problem and protected my backyard living space permanently. During the recent torrential rains we saw in Knox County, I would have most certainly been one of those with major issues - but there wasn't the slightest problem after Acadia executed their plan. Since that time, I've also pulled them in for an irrigation re-do, landscape lighting redesign, retaining wall rebuild and additional general landscape design (their landscape architect has great vision). They did a very large project for us that involved flagstone walkways and spaces, raised flower beds, new landscaping and irrigation. They did a fantastic job and would highly recommend them to anyone. The crew is very professional, work hard and seem like they enjoy doing it (and its not easy work at all). The design of our concept was quick and presented to us with full explanation of every step that would take place. During the project we made modifications that were incorporated and completed to our satisfaction. The entire team are experts in their field. They were kind and always courteous to my wife and I. Acadia Landscape cleaned out my back weed patch and installed a backyard. They removed topsoil that was no good, trees that were keeping the area too shady, tons of weeds, vines, and debris, and trimmed evergreens. They brought in new topsoil, installed an irrigation system, graded the area, landscaped some areas with river rock and put down sod. My backyard is really beautiful now. Victor and his crew worked through the heat until evening from start to finish and worked on a Saturday to get the project done. The crew reseeded the front yard where equipment had damaged the lawn and cleaned the road, driveway and yard, leaving the place as clean as before the work started. Acadia had a comprehensive scope of work and carried it out to the highest standards. For the first time in decades, I have a backyard I'm not ashamed to show off. They are easy to work with, provided a competitive quote, arrived when they said they would, and had great follow through.
