I would NOT recommend Young Drivers of Canada. They have been terrible to deal with. 3 month wait…read moreto get in-class sessions and the first one we scheduled got cancelled because of mechanical issues (supposedly) and the trainer never even showed up for the rescheduled session. No emails, no texts, couldn't call the main number either as they're not open on Sunday's (so then why even schedule Sunday's). Paid $2000 for nothing! I have requested a full refund and of course YD is not responding.

it's a joke! My son took this program with Ron and it was great. we signed my daughter up and she…read moreended up with Brent. the skills taught were sub par and he spent most lessons talking about his personal problems to her. we asked her if she would like to switch and she said no. In hindsight we should have! She contacted them today in regards to her certificate to find out she FAILED! She was told that she had to work on things with Ron and sent back to Brent to practice. at no time did he explain to her that she had to rebook her test with Ron! Two years later, after she has passed her driving exam and has her license she finds out ste now has to pay 75 more dollars to redo this in car exam with young drivers. Because the time frame has passed she will NOT RECEIVE the electronic copy of the certificate required for insurance. Just a paper copy. what a joke! The woman then spent over a half an hour explaining that my husband signed the forms explaining the process! Well if it's so clear then why did we all think she had passed? She was not told by Brent that she had to rebook with Ron after he took her back out. So 1500 plus bucks spent for nothing. If you use YD make sure they are clear in their information passed on and make sure if your instructor isn't teaching the skills required to pass THEIR OWN PROGRAM you switch driving instructors. I'm not sure Brent could pass the exam because he sure didn't teach my daughter the skills she needed. My husband took her out and did! Trying to be kind to someone who was going through family issues but is in the ass! If the service is bad, then get another instructor.

I went to this location for my entire licence (G1 through to G) and never had an issue with anyone or any process (save for the fact that I never seem to have enough ID to prove who I actually am!). I also looked up the test routes online and practised them. I found this site to be helpful for maps: http://forums.redflagdeals.com/ontario-driving-test-routes-839761/ There was one route that I didn't like, the Hwy 2 route, which takes Hwy 2 to Lawson Road, down and around the streets and then back onto Hwy 2. I remember the first time I tried it; I was coming around the ramp to get back onto Hwy 2 and BAM there's stop sign right smack at the end of the ramp! I remember thinking, 'Who's bright idea was it to put a stop sign there??? How am I expected to merge at 80kms from a dead stop? @$#%!!!..' *sigh* Good thing I practised that route a lot because, yup, you guessed it, that's the route I was instructed to take for my G licence! I was tested on nearly everything. Parallel parking, emergency stop, 3-point turn, lane change lane change lane change, etc.. The only thing I didn't have to do was reverse park, but that might have been because I backed into my spot when I first got there. Overall, a good experience and I would highly recommend this location for testing. It's true the examiners are a serious bunch of folks... but so they should be!
