I was referred to this company by a realtor, and was told I would get the lowest price possible…read more Bottom line, they quoted me high rates that weren't even being offered by banks (banks were 2% less than what he was saying). He said it would be thousands of dollars more at closing if I wanted lower rates, and that he would take care of lender fees. I ended up calling 7 different banks and they said they have no clue where his quotes were from, and sent me the actual quotes for that time period (same day as his quotes/ within the same hour and all banks had roughly the same rates, but none were even close to being as high as his). I ended up closing at an extremely low rate, and paying very little at closing. Going with the bank, I saved 2%, $200 monthly payment, close to $10k at closing and $250k over the 30 years on interest. I'm not sure what motivated him to drive up my price, but I will NEVER recommend him to anyone. He acted like he was doing me a favor and helping me out, but after very little research, I see how these companies will attempt to scam people that aren't savvy with the house buying process.

It was pretty busy and the wait was about 15 minutes, but the quote was pretty quick. Said quote was laughably high...almost double my GEICO policy. But hey, it never hurts to check. Pleasant and personable staff. I got the impression, by viewing the dozen or so Direct current customers that rolled up before, during, and as I was leaving, that the company caters to people that have poor driving records and can't obtain policies from better-known, national companies. Direct may be a national company, but I had certainly never heard of them. I left the place and drove up to the GEICO office on 9 Mile and renewed my policy. But still, if you have no other options, these folks are nice.

For your office, I apologize for my rudeness but not this review. I got my insurance nearly 45% less with Geico now. We save $100 per month now. This last time when I asked to cancel I was told if they dropped the price would I stay.... REALLY They should have done that when they raised it 18 months ago the first time. The other detail that people need to know is that State farms doesn't do 1-year policies anymore. They do renewals every six months and the only reason for that is that they can raise rates sooner instead of waiting for the one year to raise. It's worth checking around for better rates people.
