They even offered chilled water and k-cups which is remarkable. Unfortunately, that branch closed and I moved. My nearest branch is now in Carlisle next to Chen's and the lobby has been closed for a long time but the drive through has been open and the atm was also an option. Although I've had my account for years and wanted to do more banking with Belco, it never happened because of the limited accessibility of Belco branches. I've been keeping my accounts open just for minor transactions and finally decided it was time to pull the plug. I called Belco today to inquire about closing my account and was immediately connected to a friendly and helpful representiave who answered my questions. At lunch, I visited this branch to withdraw cash and close my accounts. Sho'nuff, the two staff inside were super friendly and greeted me as I entered. The gentleman teller handled my paperwork and gave me some cash to walk around with. The branch offers chilled water and k-cups coffee just like my former "home branch" in Camp Hill. All told, I was in and out in about 10 minutes and was served by a very friendly and helpful person. I feel guilty, almost, about closing my accounts: the branches that I've visited have been pleasant, the staff friendly and helpful, and the people at the call center are generally super friendly. I had pretty consistent issues logging into online services and asked for help with that once and remember the person was mean and not helpful but that was the only negative experience I can recall in years. I wish that all banks and credit unions were as friendly and consumer-focused as Belco or that Belco had more branches. Alas, Belco is no longer relevant to my banking needs.
