I would give this place negative points if I could as a "1" isn't low enough. My wife spent several…read moredays there, and it was nightmarish for her and our family. When she got there, she was in paper pajamas that she'd been forced to wear at Vidant in Greenville since the previous day. She wouldn't be able to wear street clothes until 24 hrs after arriving. When I visited for the second time 32 hours in, she was still wearing them. She was not able to access the fresh underwear that I'd brought her from home, when I bought her some wireless sports bras, the nurse threw them at her and said "pick one or don't--I don't care." After 32 hours I said why wasn't my wife in street clothes like she was supposed to be allowed to be? The nurse said she could ask, she did, and the clothes were never brought to her while I was there. As I was leaving, I told them if she wasn't in street clothes with fresh underwear when I visited the next day, I would see the local magistrate (which I ended up doing that same evening). They said this was communicating a threat. The first night there, during my first visit, she was called to see the doctor, involuntarily missed dinner, and was denied any food that evening. The nurse said she didn't care if she ate or not. While there, I told doctors and nurses about her medical conditions, about her maintenance meds, and her medically necessary diet. She was denied her hormones, her ulcer preventing stomach meds ( She'd had a Gastric Bypass), her high blood pressure meds until her blood pressure spiked, and her diabetic meds. ON HER LAST EVENING SHE WAS EVEN GIVEN THE WRONG PERSON'S MEDS (which she didn't discover until it was too late.) She was depressed We had no idea how bad this psych center could be, and it made her condition worse, not better. And they never did a single thing to treat her depression.

They refused to give me my diabetic medication, they refused to give me my high blood pressure medication, they refused to give me my hysterectomy hormones, they refused me my thyroid medicine, they refused to give me my restless legs medicine. At one point they gave me someone else's medicine who was named Michael G. I'm pretty sure it was an anti-psychotic. My doctor says he never prescribed it. I have the cup so I do have the proof. They use their own company police. Vidant police. Vidant police are looking out for their bread and butter which is Vidant. I'm not sure why this isn't a conflict of interest. When I went to the vidant police, they told me to write it up and they would help me. When I went back to the counter to ask for them, the nurse asked me if I knew what his name was. I said I didn't but described him as the tall one with the strawberry blond hair. She told me if I didn't know his name she couldn't get him for me and turned around and ignored me. My husband finally had had enough because they wouldn't give me my clothes or meds and I'd been sitting in my same paper clothes for days and they stank. Told him all I had to do is ask. What they didn't know is I told my husband to watch and went over and asked very loudly for my clothes. Then 45 or 50 minutes pass. My husband told them he'd had a enough and said that if they didn't get me my clothes he was going to go to the Magistrate. The woman accused him of communicating threats and threw him and my son out while screaming like a mad woman. Highly manipulative sociopath she is. When I said that's not communicating threats saying something like I'll break your arms and legs is a threat. Then she started yelling that I was communicating threats. This was the night they gave me someone else's risperidone. At least I think that's what it was. I went to ahoskie police and they told me they couldn't help me because Vidant police control all of the Vidant properties. I went to the magistrate and the magistrate said they knew exactly what was going on there but they weren't allowed to interfere because it's Vidant property. I was also not fed properly. By the time I left my blood pressure was 150/101 and my waking blood sugar was 130. the nurses there threw my bras and underwear at me and roomate. There was a poor elderly woman sitting in her own feces hallucinating that there were snakes in her room. They just walked around her and swore at her and told her she stinks instead of helping her. Everyone in there was not getting their medication. Unless a certain nurse was working, a male nurse, nobody took your blood pressure or your pulse ox or your blood sugar. There was a couple of patients that were having sex together. Nurses overlooked it. Me and my roommate had a man across the way coming into our room to watch her sleep. Nobody did anything. There was one woman who was manic that they hadn't given any medication to and they just let her Walk The Halls manic making noises. At one point, after complaining a lot about not getting my thyroid medication, they brought me a white oval pill that said LoR on it. ironically I take loratadine that I buy at Dollar general twice a day per my doctor. So when I saw this pill that they told me was synthroid I knew right away that it was an allergy pill. They're just absolutely cruel horrible people. And the worst part is that Àa suit came from the main vidant companyà. He sat in the recreation area where the TV is and discussed with one of the nurses that somebody had called nine-one-one the night before. It was me. I was afraid that they had poisoned me when they gave me Michael's medication. Even this suit who is supposed to be an administrator-come-to-straighten things out walked around the woman who was hallucinating about the snakes in her own feces. Right there in a recreation area to a nurse he said "It doesn't matter, they can try to sue us. They're all crazy so nobody will believe them." Well, I don't have mental illness. Not exactly. I was attacked and had a relapse of PTSD. I'm educated. And I don't know who they I think they are. They're committing fraud by not giving people medications and putting it on a form, then billing insurances. I'm sure the IRS would like to know. Not to mention several other regulatory agencies. I reported them for elder abuse at the North Carolina state level and mental health advocates and I turned them into our congressman. I turned them into health and human services. Do you know that it's not illegal for them to NOT give me my medications that I'm prescribed? It's also not illegal for them to give me someone else's medication by mistake, but you better be sure that if my husband had brought my prescribed meds he'd have been arrested. Smh I'm sorry. They lied and led me on for months that they were going to provide treatment, but all I got was a bill. I also pointed out to them many times that they billed the insurance incorrectly, but they refused to fix it AND double billed on top of it. If you are looking to not receive any proper therapy and pay lots of money for no reason, go for it. Otherwise, there are lots of other places to choose from that provide quality care.
