I found several vetted companies that were nearby, so I set out to deciding what kind of lock I'd like. We decided that we wanted something that automatically locks when we leave and close the door. I did some research and was looking at a particular Yale lock, and called the companies on my list to get prices for the lock and installation. North London Locksmiths was 5th on my contact list, I believe. The gentleman that answered the phone was happy to assist (they certainly all weren't thrilled to speak to me, that's for sure - A few acting like I was putting them out by contacting them to consider them for the job). He asked why I was interested in the Yale lock, and that they have a lock by ERA that is virtually the same, but much less expensive and much better quality, by his estimation. He advised that I look up that lock and to feel free to contact them back. I did some research, and decided that was the way to go. The savings of the money, plus the fact that he brought it up in the first place gave me a lot of trust in his business, so we set-up the appointment for the following-day. The installation took about an hour, and he did have to cut a bit out of our door frame to fit it in, but he did a nice job with filling the hole. Unless you look really closely, you can't even tell. All-in-all, we were very happy, and we really like the new lock.

It was a pleasant change to storage warehouses we had used in the past in various locations in London. Staff on site were always friendly and accommodating. Before you book and get a quote, be prepared to pay a little more than their initial quote. If you get a quote over the phone be sure to ask if it already includes the VAT, insurance, locks etc etc and protect yourself, ask them to send you confirmation of their quote in writing/email. We got a verbal quote over the phone but when we showed up with a house-full of contents, we ended up paying significantly more than what was verbally quoted to us. We could not back out as our Removers had already deposited all our personal effects into their storage. The only real let-down is that it is easy to incur unnecessary costs; check all your invoices - for exact due dates on bills. We incurred frustrating costs as billing can be less than one calendar month; so every invoice will have an earlier due date each and every month. If you trust their Accounting system you can get caught out. If the friendly staff advise you verbally that ... "the time to give Notice to terminate/vacate storage can be given "AS SOON AS YOU RECEIVE THEIR INVOICES BY EMAIL" - please be warned that their automated emails can be sent to you 13 days before the Due Date despite the fact that their Terms and Conditions require 14 days Notice Advanced warning. They can gain a days' storage cost if you are not on your guard. It is misleading.

So when I called Aussie Man & Van I was pretty specific. "Basically I don't want to do anything." Aussie Man and Van replied "that's how it's supposed to work." They held firm to that and sent two dudes to move all my stuff. They were even willing to bring boxes and pack it for me. Easiest move I've ever had and well worth the price.

InterXion security are sticklers for process, so make sure you have all your work orders and visits assigned to tickets before arriving. Whenever I did have inevitable issues with InterXion, my account manager was really great in making things good again. As for location, I would give this a 5 star. I am biased though. I'm a London local and being able to do some datacenter work and cool off with a beer on Brick lane or the surrounding shoreditch is just damn sweet. Better than docklands any day! If you are not a local, a City Airport cab is only a few quid and you'll be up to your arms in metal racks sooner than you'd like. Would buy again.
