I constantly had to follow up for updates, and even then, progress remained unclear. Although the firm markets itself under Dimov, my return was handled by someone else entirely, with no clear ownership or accountability. More concerning, I was asked to pay based on incomplete, placeholder estimates before critical items like CA Form 592-B credits and depreciation were finalized. On top of that, I was required to sign a liability waiver before they would even proceed--essentially shifting all risk to the client. For a paid tax service, this level of disorganization, lack of transparency, and risk transfer is unacceptable. I would not recommend this firm.

But the whole experience was unprofessional and ultimately unhelpful when it came to doing our actual taxes. First, I didn't hear anything from them for a couple of weeks after our initial meeting. It required me following up to get an update. And then I had specifically asked for a heads up on whether we were likely to owe any taxes, since we were self-employed the past year and unclear whether we were paying sufficient estimated taxes. In the end, I got a response a couple of days before taxes were due to be filed with a report that we $12K in taxes. There was a potential to open an IRA to lowering our tax liability but with no guidance on how to do that and only 2 days to spare we just paid the bill. I would not recommend working with these folks. They seem like nice enough people but were either overwhelmed this tax season or understaffed. Either way, that exactly what you count on a tax account to be prepared for and they clearly failed.

No problem I contacted him and he resolved the issue. I filed my 2025 taxes with him and come to my surprise he never filed my DC tax return. I've tried contacting him via emails, phone calls and through his associate, and nothing. On june 7th 2026 I sent him an email that my lawyer wrote that he finally responded. He called me and assured me that he would file the return the next day. I followed up 10 days later and nothing, again I tried calling, emails and even reached out to his associate and once again no response. I checked today and my 2025 returns haven't been filed. At this point I will no longer try to contact him and will proceed will filing a formal complaint with the District Attorney as well as with the Better Business Bureau. Abu, if you read this, I tried my best not to go this route and I let you know, I feel betrayed and unfortunately you gave me no choice.
