It was NOT fixed. I called back and they told me it didn't work because my dryer vent was too dusty. So I called a company out to come clean my dryer vents and they said the vents weren't even that dusty!! And in no way should that have been the cause of my dryer not working. Then I called back about getting a refund and they wouldn't issue one. I had to call my bank to get one instead. They still have yet to let me speak to a manager about this. He took a few continuity and voltage readings and told me it was a 50% chance it was the controller board and 50% chance it was the compressor, and that a controller board would cost $700 to $800. I told him I would rather just buy a new refrigerator. He collected his fee and left. I proceeded to order a new controller board that I found online for $89 plus tax and shipping, assuming I could install it myself. I have not received the controller board, so I don't know whether my foray into refrigerator repair has been a total boondoggle or not. I will buy a new fridge if I have to.
